Sorry to hear that, and I saw your other post. Great armies. I am really expecting a big change on GW for January (CEO leaving, stock price going down, sales not improving, etc) in case you want to wait a few months more.

It really is painful in a way. I LOVE the game. I love to play. But it isn't a game that allows for solo play. It takes players, and I just don't want to pack models, drive an hour, play a game, pack models, and drive home. Lacking players who are willing and interested, culling some of my models just seems like a good idea.

Not Sarcasm at all. I was sad to see that you sold off your fantasy armies. It just reminds me how GW is committing corporate suicide out in the open. I know plenty of people who would love to play Warhammer 40k and Fantasy but the prices are cost prohibitive. I'm surprised as an educator you can't start a little warhammer club in your area with the highschooler and slowly build up some armies over the year. The problem of course is $$$ and GW is asking too much. Shake your fist at the uncaring sky.

The entry cost is prohibitive, and the issue with people coming and using one of my armies is that they are not in any way vested in the army. There isn't much reason to get better with it or identify with it.

I have decided that unless I get $3000 on the nose, I am not considering selling my orks. I would rather look at them on a shelf while sipping cognac than take less than they mean to me. I was offered $2500 and $2250 and $2000 over the last three days on them and said no to all of them. I have an offer of $1000 for my Marines, but I am going to say no to that one. I have a guy offering around $1250 - $1500 that requested additional pictures to establish exactly what the painting style is. I will accept $1250 for them I think. Which to be honest, KILLS me. But they do nothing on the shelf for me. If I keep the orks and IG (no offers at all on them) I at least have enough to play with my kids or another person should they visit.

I can see selling the marines or IG, but the Orks have too much emotional investment. I'd happily sell any of my Fantasy stuff, but not my Marines.

The worst part is we were told the only reason we didn't die was because we have a drafty basement and don't run the heat on high at night. Our house was full of carbon monoxide. I am going to kill our regular burner guy.

We have three! I asked him why none of them ever tripped! He said that they are weird. He said he had seen houses where they could detect high levels of CO but the house's detectors didn't go off. What the hell is the point in having them!

Apparently the draftiness of the house combined with us turning it down at night saved us.

Totally crazy!

It happens around here once and a while, but not generally from a furnace! People end up putting generators or gas heaters in an enclosed space and dying. The CO was diluted through the entirety of the house rather than a small space, but still just a crazy chain of events!

No there was only one Dalek episode this season where Tyres was a captain of some ship fighting Daleks and Dolorous Ed got killed by Dalek 'anti-bodies'...

No the new episode had Cybermen...and a huge giant death cloud thing...

Overall I found it meh but then as I didn't watch it live and skipped forward anytime I was getting to the point where it started to hit my pain receptors. Could have really done without Cyber Brigadier...

They should really make up something new. It's not that hard. Hell, they could have an evil Doctor from a parallel universe and that would be more fun than Dalek and Cybermen. Or did they already do that?

I really like him and have enjoyed the series in general, there was one previous duff episode before the finale.
