Anyone own one of these? What do you think? I'm considering getting one for hauling miniatures on an airplane.

You can probably get something similar for less money from another brand.

It depends on what sort of models, honestly. I have one for my Ad Mech guys, because there are a lot of larger/weirdly-shaped models. But if it's mainly standard infantry that you're carting around, then - as Ursa said - you can probably go cheaper.

That said, I like mine a fair bit. I always used to get super frustrated by the non-malleability of most foam inserts, while also not wanting to go the full-on Battlefoam mega-customisation route.

I'm pretty sure the dwarfs are carved from refined suck. I'd rather build an army out of lego.

Yeah, I'm looking for flexibility. I have a lot of rank and file infantry, but also ogres and some other big stuff.

Well, I decided to get one. It is now packed with all the miniatures I want to bring along overseas. Here is what's inside:

18 Lothern Sea Guard
Bolt Thrower
Mage

The Silver Tower minis that I couldn't fit in the box

10 Corsairs
5 Harpies
Some Dark Elf Characters
16 Dwarf Slayer Pirates
Dwarf Cannon and Crew
12 Reaper Miniatures
A bunch of Araby models

A giant, kharybdiss, ironblaster, and 3 trolls
(These are actually sandwiched in between trays, and not in one. The trayes do not easily accommodate large, intricate models)
30 or so Marienburg Empire models

A dozen or so ogres and 20 gnoblars
30-40 Empire Pirates

I'll post an update in a couple of days when we have arrived. We'll see what condition everything is in!

It did great! On one flight, it sat under the seat in front of me. On the others it went in the overhead bins. Everything arrived in good shape, including the large models like the Kharybdiss and the Giant.

So not checked baggage then? That's what I was keen to see!

Right, not checked baggage. I did stash my Project Box in a suitcase and check that. It did just fine on the trip.
