 Very cool! I like the gun and crew. I don’t think I need to ask what BFG stands for 😸

Ya it's going to be a bit of a bugger to paint. I'm more of an infantry guy and painting the big machines gets a bet tedious.

But that babies going to be worth it.

Delivering the fury of the Emperor directly to the foreheads of unbelievers. And all those around them. Possibly even at a different table.

Basilisks could deliver imperial justice to other tabels, in 7th edition. :-P

I had some boxes out to repack stuff and figured I'd take some pictures as I do! Excuse the general shoddy quality of the pictures themselves, and avert your eyes at so many unpainted models. (I know we all have such a back log but still, it's the thought that counts.)

First, just a sampling of the boxes I'm going through. Trying to repack and reorganize stuff so I'm not pulling out ten boxes to make an army.

Next we have a group shot of my guard army. The brave 1st Canadiana, A Company. Guardians of the Void Storm and the great North Galactic Rim.

Then a few close ups. Starting on the right flank; 11st Platoon, some veterans at the back, some big guns and a tech priest with her servitors at the front.

Central section with the men of 2nd Platoon, some command squads and specialist squads.

and finally the left flank. Filled with Storm troopers, commissars and some other odds and ends.

And one last picture just because I'm actually quite happy with how they look. Corporal Rob Furlongs Sniper squad. I still need to green stuff some camo cloaks, but the hot shot las looks pretty spiffy. They've proven surprisingly effective, and have been the death of a great number of chaos marines and even Ahriman! (Although he came back. Cursed warp powers.)

Turns out I had a few more pictures on my phone. Some Death watch I've been working on. I've a squad f ten built, with some more tactical marines coming soon that are going to be converted into more deathwatch. I really like the idea of having a group that represents as many different chapters as possible on the table.

Currently they frequently assist my guard as allies, although despite being Alien hunters they instead mostly face chaos. Don't want those filthy heretics getting their paws on to much xeno technology.

Still a bit of a work in progress but I'm happy how they're turning out. Having a majority black body always looks kind of unfinished to me, and I need to buy some better brushes before I try highlighting edges and stuff.

That trim I find is really hard for me to achieve. Just can’t seem to find a comfort spot with it.
Nice deathwatch though. I like that tech priest and servitor group! And what can I say about the Canadiana’s 😺

I like your mixed guard unit.  And evidently the space marines are seen protecting a granary.

Woot! Thanks guys!  :::cheers:::

Now I just have to build up the momentum to paint some of the bigger tanks and stuff. Considering I plan to make it mostly one color (Green) with highlights and details, I just can't get in the mood for that much work.

Just a quickie. Some kitbashed Deathwatch I put together using spare parts.

* From Left to right we have a Howling Griffon, a Flesh Tearer, a Brazen Claw Sergeant, a Black Templar with classic sword and board, and a Novamarine with a big ass frag cannon.

I'm really not a big marine fan, but there's something about the Deathwatch I just love. Not even the style or colors, more the lore. I like the Spartans in Halo, and the thought of marines who are dedicated and specialize in messing up the dastardly aliens is just great. Especially squads made up of a few marines from different chapters working together. Humanity Fuck Yeah!

I'd love to see them in a better light, as their poses look lit. I'm also a huge fan of Deathwatch, so your project is really inspirational for me. :eusa_clap:

++Dreadnaught Operational++[/I]

Got a bit of painting done earlier. Helps that with the Death Watch the vast majority I can just spray black and add details. All finished and ready to wreck some xeno's day is Ancient Finian, a black shield who's been stationed at Watch Station Winter for an unknown number of centuries. He has a reputation as a tank wrecker, although in my last came he charged into a squad of rubric marines and ruined their day just as badly.

Then, just for Xath, here's a better picture of my kitbashed deathwatch. I took it almost a month ago just for you, but finally got around to uploading it.

They'll get painted at somepoint. Designated Squad Curtana I used them in my last game. (Alongside Ancient Finian and another two 5 men squads plus a captain.) They deployed, ran into a building, and promptly got vaporized by four tricksy psykers all targeting them.

That dread is awesome! Very menacing. Love the inquisition markings. That’s a bad end for that squad unfortunately 😸

Thanks! I'm happy with how it turned out, and I'm glad I painted a bunch of it's weapons all at once to keep the colors similar. It's so nice being able to switch the arms out easily.

Woo painting update! A bit of cheating first off. To start us are some pictures of two models I use as Astropaths. They also show up in my fantasy army as witches and other magic users. Soooo, you'll also seem them in my other painting plog!

Next I've completed a squad of Intercessor Primaris marines. My homebrew chapter, The DoomSeekers, are usually a real rag tag group. A formerly fleet based chapter that's only recently settled on a planet. They've been tasked with guarding the far northern rim of the galaxy so very rarely get resupplied. Older models were the same colors, but with a bit more rust or more beat up weapons. However, with the events of Dark Imperium they've been reinforced with Primaris marines. I wanted to paint these guys up cleaner, to show that their recent reinforcements. They've got shiny new equipment, and havn't yet been thrown into the losing war that is defending the rim.

Edit; Bah! I changed something in editing and the picture is blurry. I'll see about fixing it at some point and getting a different one.

There’s a taste of grimdark for you. Nice addition! Saw the witches in the other thread and I’ll say it again - awesome!

Thanks AG!

@GP, they're reaper models. As per the usual for me. I forget what the pack is called, probably just 'three witches', but it's a pack of 3 metal witches and a metal cauldron. Very clearly inspired by Macbeths witches.
