Go slow and steady, make him connect with the others, but have him stand out, too.

Maybe hang some things from the banner. Yellow and red pennants?

Add a few grisly trophies, like skulls on chains and severed hands.

I'm here for the severed extremities.

Should be easy to get if you wait outside the pub cone closing time.

Haven't really had time to look for severed extremities but I shall. Found the rats but they all look like they are running, not hanging. Anyways here he is. He looks pretty mono colour to me but I'm not sure what to brighten the face up.

Thanks doc!
After all it was your inspiration and link that led me to these beasties. I have Konrad's guys built and waiting for basecoat and started the rebasing of the rats. Another 36 to add to the battalion box and 5 spearmen beastmen plus 9 bigger axe and double weapon guys. I don't actually know what there called but they will join the herd. I might put up some WIP pics but I was distracted by a valhallen baneblade that was dying for some paint. I'll put that up on the 40k thread when it's ready. Maybe 2 days.

A little progress pic. No paint but some assembly. These are some of konrads shipment. Some scurvy fun. The clanrats on the left and the ogre are from the battalion box.

You can never go wrong with Skaven. Such a cool, fluffy race.

This pun was fully intended, by the way.

Thanks DocJ! Managed to base these guys and get a coat of fur on them. I took a tangent with the baneblades but I’m back to these. Guys now.

Slowly coming together. Started anew job so I’m extremely tired lol. Got some more work done on the rat ogre and I’m sure the clan rats feels much more brave next to that thing.

Some of the beasties almost done and I think the rats are too. Next up more clanrats and another rat ogre. Some bits are missing on the beasties. Wasn’t quite sure what to do with them but now I think I have it figured.

More of Konrad’s former verminous vermonhord making the AoS crossover. I picked up these cheap 25 mil bases that are a flexible rubber with a peel and stick side.  Only 9.99 for a hundred free shipping from Hong Kong. Did not realize they see peel and stick. Thought they were mdf but what the heck.  Turns out they stick like crazy and I can debase the existing ones and stick em right to the new ones and then throw them into the basing bin ( which is the most god awful base I d come up with but it’s instant stick. No pcv blue or the like.  Now to paint em. Also I cut down the 4x6 board to 3x5 because I really underestimated the size of the big board in a small room. Had a 12 x 24 room before it became the new kitchen to play around in when it was just my son and I.  Anyway I like the smaller size as it will be mostly AoS skirmish games but it might be too small for 40 k when I get into that in January I think.

Hmmm ... 3 x 5 instead of 4 x 6, not sure I'd want to go that small.  4 x 6 gives possibility for 4 x 4, too.  If ya cut down a 4 x 6 into 3 2 x 4s, then the size of the board can be changed as needed.

I got one of those old cutout buildings that I see on the left hand side of the picture above, plus I see a few extra wooden beams on the front of your homemade scenery piece, too. :icon_cool:
