We are in th lead at Bechafen, I believe, and will prolly be able to scare Middenland into doing something stupid. So the issue is, what is our overall plan for finishing this campaign? we shall have to decide soon, so reply here as soon as you get a chance on what we should do next.

Well, we have only one target now I believe: Bechafen!

Let's stay watchfull for a Middenland/Kislev attack (Stirland can only attack Udo's, and that wouldn't really harm us), but I think we just have to throw everything we can at Bechafen!

Very true, I may be able to stock up on games for this next(short) round, so we shall just have to sit tight for awhile.

Wow, we did better than I expected. We actually captured Bechafen!

Let's wait and see what the modifiers for the next round will bring, but our first priority should be to hold Bechafen.

We are winning there by about 40,000 points, it would be hard to lose it. But I think we should immedeatly attack Kaltenbach. However, that would be completely dependant on the modifiers.

Wouldn't be that hard. Remember, we have to have at least 50% of the points total in Bechafen to hold it, being the largest faction isn't enough. So we have to have more points than Stirland and Middenland combined.

And then there's Udo's Fall, which should also be defended (no too hard, I think). Only if these two objectives are met, can we think of invading Kaltenbach (again).

Cisse is correct; you're currently about 10,000 points over 50% at Bechafen.

YEAH. The underdogs have risen to the occasion. Thankyou has to go to all our members for posting so many battles, it must be a lot of time out of your lives (it was for me, although I go to GW once a week for the adult games night.) I can now focus on painting and play-testing my wood elves for a tournament next year.
I might get a couple of battles with Empire for the final round. See you all around. This has been great.

If Bechafen is the target we should defend it with every ounce of strength left in us, depending on the modifiers of course.

Glory to Gernot and Talabecland!

Yeah, I forgot about the special conditions for holding Bechafen. Well, let us not even think about attacking Kaltenbach, we have everything under condtrol. If we can simply hold all our locations, then we will win.

Well, the modifiers for the last round are in. Poor Graf Martin.

I have a question though - skirmishes don't add to the "riot" control rate, but what about normal battles?

I think that we should post as many battles as we can at Bechafen, anything else is secondary. I must admit that I'd like to play a battle using that "rearguard" scenario, just for the fun of it.

We must keep up the pressure at all the sites. Udo's will have limited attacks on it but ant location touching a M/K one will need defending as much as posible. We have 5 locations, including the best one. We need to secure Bechafen with a few more wins, The brundstruck WILL be attacked next to gain M/K another loaction. Giving them 5 to our 4.

I'm going to get a game in friday hopefully. I can't get to a GW for any more however.

We just need one more good round and it ours! Lets not easy up now.

Thank the Lady that Martin is gone. Of all the imaginary people in the world, he was definitely my least favorite. In all honesty, I thought that we were going to get slaughtered, good work everyone!
I've traveled all over this world, from Alabama to Louisiana, and one thing I've found is that people always want to do good.

FR1DAY, I think that it matters not wether Brustenruck is contested, we simply have to hold Bechafen. So post all battles there, and don't let it fall!!!

It does matter as this will shift the balance of power between us and the M/K. We have 5 locations, they have 4. This would reverse if they take the bridge. We must hold both.

And about the title, yes really.

Yes, that would be best.

However, we're 13 000 points ahead of Middenland at the Brüstenbrucke, and 10 000 points ahead of the magic 50% limit at Bechafen. I think it would be hard for the Middenlanders to take away both those locations.

Even if we can't hold the Brucke, the Mid's would only contest it, not take it. So we would still be in the lead, since Bechafen is the focus point of the campaign, right?

Very true cisse, that is what I meant. As long as we hold Bechafen, we will hold the advantage. Not to mention that, why would M/K NOT attack Bechafen, it would not make sense to leave it in our hands.

Well we only have a few hookers and mass orgies. That IS what you do when you play warhammer. It'd be pretty boring otherwise.

As for the "strategy" this round: as I said earlier, Middenland is 13 000 points behind at the Brüstenbrucke, and they need to post over 15 000 points if they want to stop us getting Bechafen. It's very unlikely that they will do both, right? And if they attack the Brucke, they won't have enough points to contest Bechafen, so I say, let them do.

I think our best bet is to start securing Bechafen as fast as we can (no need to wait 'till the end of the round, I think everyone will expect this), and post a lot of battles there to get even more ahead.
If we are sure that we have enough points, and it looks like the Brucke is safe, we can do other things, such as turn the heat back on at Kaltenbach, but that'd be a luxury.

Forget Kaltenbach, Lets concentrate on the bechafen and the brundstruck.

I'll hold the brundstruck as best i can with a couple of games the rest of you hit Bechafen.

Hey FR1DAY, could you do Rufus a favour and call it Brüstenbruck?

Brundstruck sounds like... Food :-D

Yep, thats the plan. Just defend what we've got, that should be enough.

Rufus has posted some battles at Udo's, but I don't think we really need more battles there (I seriously doubt the Stir's can post the 17 000 points they need to contest it, it's a short round after all).

So, some battles at the Brucke -not too much, we might need them at Bechafen- to secure it (FR1DAY can look after this then), and all other battles go to Bechafen.

@episteme: thanks for your efforts in the campaign!
