Just popping in to say that I'm glad to be back, missed this community, and wish I'd behaved better back in the day. I've become a lot more politically moderate, tolerant of opposing viewpoints, and stopped rebelling against God.  :::cheers:::
Saw you posting elsewhere on here, and good to have you back as well! :::cheers:::

Friends dropped by for lunch and they brought this as a gift from Stowe, Vermont. They could have brought a brick of gold and I would be just as happy.

Has this been taste tested yet :icon_question:

I've been to Cabot VT, nice place, and in a picturesque area.

How can you rebel against nothing?
The same way one rebels against anything else. :icon_wink:

We just opened it last night. Was the topping on a homemade lasagna. We won’t discuss were 3/4 of the lasagna went and I’ll deny it anyways.
Very sharp cheddar and incredibly tasty. Must let it warm to room temperature for full effect 😺

I'd recommend saving the political stuff for all those other threads.  :icon_wink: :icon_mrgreen:

Fidel is very equal opportunity. He likes to talk about the left pushing politics into every conversation, and then making sure to do the same with his own.

I appreciate I'm being grumpy, but I'd still rather keep the political memes to the political section. I have a lot of problems with the current school system, but you don't see me talking about them in the Happy and Random thoughts thread.

Granted: depending on that perspective, it is more appropriate for the Unhappy and Random Thoughts. On reflection, I have to concede that posting it here was far too positive, favouring the ridiculous aspect of this issue over it sad reality.

Regardless to it's sadness or happiness perspective, I'd much rather you keep it to the political section myself. Your generally not seeing people post trump memes, or whatever left wing memes are popular these days in either.

In that case, aren't you worried yourself why maths suddenly became political...

You know, weirdly, if I wanted to have that discussion I'd likely have it in the Back Table. The place meant for political discussion. Not in the happy memes section, or even the sad news thread in the general hobby board section.

Would my last post have been allright without my comment? If not, why? And if it is allright, why wouldn't it be allright with my comment?

It still would have bugged me comment or not in here, because the whole point of it is a shot at your political opponent. I was also bothered by the Epstein/Clinton or Greta ones, but generally not enough to comment. I just don't think they're needed in here when there's plenty of political discussion to be had elsewhere. Not to mention how often this board blows up about politics, and the problems with pushing politics everywhere.

Edit: I would have been equally annoyed at anyone posting 'Trump's an idiot" or any other memes tacking cracks at the republicans. Or Brexit stuff, or any of the other host of political issues going on in the world.

But I do find it odd that for someone who complains about other people pushing politics into places they don't belong, that you'd feel so strongly when people ask you to stop posting politics somewhere they don't think it belongs.

You were not bothered enough by the Epstein/Clinton or Greta ones to comment for being too political, but by a maths one? Suum cuique, I guess.

Or perhaps I was merely hoping you'd stop, instead of continuing? I figure it was more of a cumulative thing. Its easy to ignore someone posting one political thing, annoying at 2, but by 10? Now its much easier to be annoyed enough to say things.

I agree, it has become cumulative, easily overlooked initially, hoping it was a mistake, yet time to mention something accordingly.  Thsi is the Count's Tavern area, not the Back Table.
