Twas a pleasure.... well at first it was. By the end I hated it. But that's mainly my own fault.  :-P

I liked how my Vampire and Necromancer just sat in the middle and casted spells to help out Rover and Wiss's wife  :biggriin:

I really was hoping Wiss and Wolfy would try and sneak units over to the tower to try and grab it on the sly, but credit to W's W and Rover for keeping them more than busy!

Man, those vamp black knights are cool...

Makes me want to start playing vampire counts now that they aren't the most absurdly powerful army anymore. . .

Yeh, I was mightily impressed by the black knights. More so than I ever thought I would be. I guess it's just the decent save coupled with killing blow. It makes them surprisingly good at character combat. Especially since you can keep raising back their numbers. It was a good day for knights all round though, flying in the face of all the 'cavalry sucks in 8th' feelings.

And I can't help but agree that their bringing back down to earth under the new rules has made them much more attractive, not only to play with, but against. So far all the games I've had against them have been good fun.

I think its hilarious that several players here don't want to play them now that they don't auto win anymore... they whine continuously about it. in fact I know one who even stopped playing fantasy for that reason...

And cavalry are awesome in 8th, they may not be game breakers, but my cavalry charges in my empire army are just as devastating as ever, especially now that they very commonly charge the flanks :biggriin:

Yes, I'm looking forward to using bigger cavalry units... like 10-12... will be a most impressive sight even if nothing else.  :-P

Sadly, chaos knights are still horrifically effective even with just 5 or 6.  :icon_cry:

Hehe, if it's any consolation, I don't think Wolfy's half of the army would have stood up any better than yours did.

Afterall, he got eaten by a few goblins .

Hey! I would never punish you all with such a post. It's just not my style.
Photobucket has now re-destroyed my pictures, so the first half of my collected works thread is no longer working again. To see my website version of the campaign thread, with fully functioning pictures, please go to https://bigsmallworlds.com/
