Ive just won 'ere we go! On ebay for less than i lost it for the other day. It has all the old skool background and list for the blood axes.
Thinking of getting two trukk squads, a big trakk with kil kannon, 3 war buggies (from puppet wars) and some nobs and warboss plus adisor in a battlewagon, and a looted wagon with the ogryns in. Not the best list but a start. Ill see what the book says. I need the ork codex too.

fW enclosed cab trukks. They look a bit like across between a humvie and a technical. Thats the look i want. The big trakk looks mean, especially with a supa kannon on it. All terrain heavy artillery!

Oh I know what they are, I have one in a bag!  I was just curious as to why you were going with them over tanks.

Pretty much, though you can use any tank with the battle wagon super cannon rules it you want a big gun!

Looted wagons with kill kannon is 67 points.

Just the Taurus AM transport and an Ork Trukk.

A VERY easy conversion to do.  It is the front of the Taurus and the wheels plus the bed of the trukk.

YOu could then make a second trukk using the front of the trukk and the rear compartment of the Taurus.

That's exactly what i'm going to do. One taurox, one trukk and some plastikard =  2 trukks.

Im going to get a enclosed trukk from aliexpress for the tank hunters and a big trakk with supa kannon as a 88'

You aren't going to make the trukk hard topped are you?

You never want to put a shooting unit in a hard topped trukk or battlewagon.  Really, there is never a reason to hardtop ork transports.

aliexpress sell copies FW kits from china. I quite like the half trak one as well.

I also fancy getting the stormboys deal from GW, seems like an okay price.

Simple conversion but it looks really good. I immediately thought that Taurus looked more Orky than IG!  :eusa_clap:

It is a great model for an ork army!

Careful what you put in trukks though.  They tend to blow up and kill half your squad.  Hard boyz are much safer.

Boys with heavy armour? Ork stormtroopers? Love it!

Kromlech do an armoured torso as well.

Going to get Ork codex this weekend.

Thinking of using a inqustior as my advisor, the marauders from the tyrants legion list as adventurers and some ogryns as, well, ogryns.

Another thing you can do is just buy Fantasy Black Orks.  They make awesome hard boyz.  That is what I use.  Add the multitude of boyz bits you end up having left after building boyz and they look fabulous.  I realize now that I don't think I have ever taken pictures of them…  Maybe I will have to.

Do they come as separate torsos and legs because i really like the boots and shorts look of the afrika korps legs. It looks like all the vintage pics of Blood axe orks from the 90's.

They can have helmets then as well

No, Black Ork torsos are one component if I recall.  I have about 60 of them, half the new plastics and half the old pewter.  But the additional armor sets them apart from the normal boyz who are generally the better investment.  As far as helmets, the current ork models have helmets larger than those Kromlech ones for the most part.  There are some helmet less ones in the kit.

I like a lot of Kromlechs things, but the ork heads aren't really one of them.

I think the faces on orks are my favorite part  They are all so full of character.

Now those ork size kan models cromlech makes is amazing.  I WANT THEM.
