They are casting miniatures to play. We think it looks great in a Empire army in a free company or like a hero.

A few days ago Cam asked to us how we did cobbestone bases. It's really easy if you know how.
We have done a small tutorial (http://elcantodelasespadas.blogspot.com.es/2013/10/haciendo-peanas-i-empedrados.html#more) to show to do it... in spanish :P It's a really easy job, if you see the pictures you will understanding everthing.
We use air dry modelling material by Dass, a sculpting tool, a small piece of pine bark, glue and brushes and paintes.

Looking good. I know those metal lances are almost as hard to keep straight as the boiled-spaghetti pikes of the old DoW infantry, but the lance fo guy on the left in the upper picture really needs some careful bending.

We have a really problem with spears :eusa_wall:. It's something that always happens, but we will try to fix it in the future.

We use to do all banners with coloured tin. It so easy, should you try :happy:!
Well, we are learning and improving the best way to do scenary. This time we could fail but... we have made a hayrick because we wish learn how to sculpt stalk to put on buildings ground.
Anyway we need coloured it to see final result to know how close we are!

A shame about Scotland, but we get to see another project so it's not all bad.
You sculpt many new pieces for each project, do you ever make silicone molds from them so that you can cast copies instead? No one would know if you used many copies of the same beam and surely it would save time when you make so many models.

Oh, I love your Roc! The wings look phenomenal! What do you shade the white portion with?
That is such a delicate model as well! I find it difficult to use such heavy, dark colors and make something truly appear to be flying. You really pulled it off! Personally, I think its the attention to detail that you put into the base that allows for that "weightlessness" of the model. Amazing work!

I like the second guy best -- the one with the big hammer. I wish I could see his face better, but I know white doesn't show up well in photos. I like the sculpting & concept of the first guy, but for some reason I'm not fond of the way he's posed & holding the sword. The priestly figure isn't really the type of figure I'm usually interested in, but looks well sculpted like the rest. My only criticisms are just based on personal preference. I like that your figures are cleanly sculpted, and that you have nice detail without covering the figure in too many ornaments. The style reminds me a bit of Mark Copplestone's (like his old Fantasy Warriors figures.)

so idea-wise, I am not convinced. on a technical level, this looks really good. The way the clothing folds in particular. I wish I could do that.

drummer boys were always in the front ranks right next to the flag and the officer even into the late 1800's. In medieval times a child was considered just a small adult, not able to swing a heavy sword but good enough for the drums/flutes etc. steveb

In terms of rules for those buildings, would you say that if there is roome for a war machine in a ruined, roofless, building that it can be deployed there? I would say it should, counting as being in hard cover, or as whatever rule the Dwarfs had for 'dug-in' war machines....

If you mean for 8th ed, it depends how you define the model. if it counts as a "building", then no. If you treat it as a bunch of obstacles (walls) and maybe difficult terrain, yes.

Really nice figures! Sadly I am short on $, so I wont be able to show my support. How many components are there for the knights? The picture of the 5 knights look really unique, would it be possible to make the 24 knights as unique as these ones? Or would it be more of a head swap, type of change?

Incluyed Pieces are: Two bodys, 2 arms with hand weapon & shield, 2 arms with great weapon, 5 heads and should pads.
Our miniatures are compatible with GW bit as Greatswords, state troops, and Reiksguard horsemen. So you have a wide variety to glue your figures.

Regiment bases have space enough for 20 figures. The best is that we have two different models, so you can use both togher and fit 40 figures! There are two ways to place togheter the scenic bases, half a way with a very wide front or full way with a deeper regiment.

The bases are another great idea, I think four together would look amazing, but you'd have to buy a lot of Knights for that...
I went and increased my Kickstarter Pledge again. Now it's for 24 Knights with command, and some of the scenery too. You should point out to everyone that scenery ordered in the KS is cheaper than on your website! Bargain!

Im sorry to tell you that shields won't be avariable without figures. We don't have a production mold just with them. But if you take foot knights and use the great weapons, you will use the shields in others figures ;)

You have production molds for plastic kits? Somehow I thought the set-up cost for that kind of thing are too large for a kickstarter like this. Makes me wonder why not many more small-scale outfits like yours have appeared. With GW axing Warhammer and the rise of T9A, the time couldn't possibly be more right.

I can confirm that the Pledge Manager is up and running and has "stolen" all of my money! :eusa_clap:
Two issues I found were:
There's a box you need to type "XXX" into if you are ordering from outside Spain - it's at the bottom of the delivery address page, so you have to go back to it from the page where you get the error message;
I couldn't pay the extra (P&P for me) by PayPal as I got an "empty basket" error. So I switched to credit card, and that worked ok.

We ahve two kinds of resing. For scenery pieces we use polyurethane resin, it is hard enought to play with them. We have not had any problem with our houses or stone walls.
About the trees, we must be carefully with branches. Anyway we warm the resin with hot water to twist the branches, ones is it cool, we can't do it.

Gorgeous. Looks like a mix between LOTR elves and Warhammer elves. Only thing I'm not a huge fan of are those shields.

Speaking of the shield, what's the purpose of that hole in the side of it? Vision gap? Place to stick the spear through when in shieldwall? If it's the latter, I'd hope that it's actually possible to assemble the miniatures in such a way that the spear is leveled horizontally and sticks through.

The holes allow can use the spear in a shieldwall. Besices shield shapes "remember" a tree leave. That is our idea ;).

Don't be worry. It is an officer head.
Remember that Command Group is a sprue, you will need heavy armoured o light amoured bodies to them. So you can take any head that you like.

Hi guys,
Firstly I would like to say sorry. It been a long time out from here but we are living bad times. Ulrich is in hospital for a surgery and a relative has passed away so... we can not be 100% focus on that.
As we said on Kickstarter, orders will be delayed, anyway we hope be able to send all parcels in March.
We have some deadleines to announce:
- The 9th of February Kickstarter and Late Pledge orders to be taken at Hispania Wargames 2018 show, must be done please.
- The 24th and 25th of February Lastsword will be at Hispania Wargames 2018 show with a stand. You will get all our products and a few ammount of Elven Lords going to be offer there.
- The 6th or March we gonna close Kickstarter and Late Pledge, so it won't be able to place new orders. Then we will be doing and sending parcels.
Little by little we gonna take back the blog and publish new articles.
