Disbandment of the Army of Altdorf. glam rock.
« on: October 05, 2016, 04:07:47 PM »
The time has arrived to reduce the number of armies that me and my son have.
My only army is that of Reikland, Will's has an Army of Altdorf and a Middenheim army from the storm of Chaos.
So to start with the Artillery.

Middenheim will get one of the cannons, with crew repainted, also Will's like to use the Volley Gun, so again crew will be repainted. Reikland will take the other cannon as is, so on lone from Altdorf. The mortar will also go to Reikland once I find the crew and repaint. Neither of us really wanted the rocket gun, but it's coming to my army. The crew will be from school of Engineers. Do they have a uniform ?

As far as I know, there is nothing official in either the ABs or WFRP on uniforms or colours of the College of Engineering.

Isn't the School of Engineers from Nuln? If so then their uniforms should be (probably) black.

That'd be my guess as well. The black blends with the smoke and oil they get covered in.

The Imperial School of Engineers is based at Altdorf, the College of Engineering (or Engineers), as well as the Imperial Gunnery School, at Nuln. Black is the colour of Nuln "although whether this is by age-old design or more practical needs to hide the soot from fighting alongside so many cannons (or from the polluted city itself) is uncertain" (U&HotE p. 30). As such, it does not indicate anything for the Nuln College of Engineering and definitely not for the Altdorf Imperial School of Engineers (provided they even have a school uniform).

Ha, I thought that I've messed these two up. Thanks Fidelis. :smile2:

The engineerer guild based in Altdorf wore blue, red and yellow uniforms in the colored pages of 4th edition. I always seen these as their color.

Imperial School of Engineers from Altdorf, try out their Helstorm Rocket Battery.

Master Engineers, "So that's it, I just pull the lever and it fires."
Engineer with instruction. " Yep that all." ........."Oh hang on there's some more. Then run like Be'lakor himself is after you."

That's one good catch Zak. I bet if you fell in a barrel of poop, you come out smelling of roses. My lucks always the other way, it would be my mum selling.

Next up in the disbandment is the steam tank, but instead of putting it in the Middenland army, I will keep the silver one for Reikland, and have just got of e-bay another metal one to paint in the blue colour as per Empire book. Parts missing so need half the hatch and the top for the steam stack.

Next unit to be moved Braganza's Besiegers. Since Father Christmas brought them for William one year, then they have to go with the Middenland Army.

Not sure the unit has ever been used in anger.

Here is my collection of the big three, which will move into my Reikland Army.

The Emperor himself on Deathclaw.

The Supreme Patriarch Balthasar Gelt on Imperial Pegasus.

Finally The Grand Theogonist Volkmar the Grim [or Ming the Merciless, well that's who the figure always reminds me of.]

He should be on his War Altar, but having seen Rogers superb Altar of Sigmar, he refuses to get on-board.
Does anyone know of a site where I can down-load the correct flags for the war altar ?

Uh... There's a point when photos are just too blurred to serve a purpose.

But your Reiklanders are surely happy and proud to get these reinforcements!  :-)

Sorry, can't help with the waraltar flags.

Sorry  :icon_redface: Started to replace photographs.

Here is Valkmar, and another major figure I missed. Just says Supreme Patriarch, but gives no name.
