Halfling Horde
« on: July 27, 2017, 08:44:09 PM »
Hi everyone!

So this week I moved my Halflings from storage, and got them set up in my house again. I really missed looking at them, and I don't think I ever had them set up all together. It's turned into quite a horde...

This is my Halfling Empire army, which I play in the 9th Age under the Empire of Sohnstahl rules. Half of these mini's are classics from the 80s, and the other half are my own sculpts or conversion.

I made a quick little video to show off the horde. Let me know if you want to see more! :)

Also I have uploaded some WIP pics of this army here:

These are the pics I've made since I started working on this army in 2010, so they might be a bit random...

Wow! This is an outstanding army, congratulations sir. Acquiring vintage halfling miniatures is hard, but sculpting your own models is like playing another league! :eusa_clap:

It should be impressive to fight against (and be defeated) by a horde from The Moot. Also, you are probably aware about the fan versions of a halfling army book on the net, mainly the version of the Warhammer Armies Project's blog. However, try to include pictures directly in the forum, please, it would be more confortable for all of us (although I don't know if videos could be uploaded here) :icon_wink:

A grittier looking force of halflings I have not seen, excellent!

For something even more silly:

A couple of weeks ago I played at a tournament where everyone got to bring a free special monster. My Halflings don't really have a need for monsters, but they have something to defeat them...

That is so good. Probably a silly question, but was that an actual power ranger toy? Or all conversions?

I hate people who don't paint their armies, hate them with all my guts. Beats me how they value other things over painting, like eating or brushing teeth.

At the end of the video are some WIP pics. It was all scratch-build with plasticard :)
