Anvil of doom.
« on: May 30, 2008, 07:48:36 PM »
Why do the dwarfs carry to battle an ancient, revered and powerfull relic like the anvil of doom to war, if it doesn't need any line of sight to work and neither range limits. They can easily just leave it at the fortress and blast people from there, heck the can use all there damned anvils to crush any one they want at once.

Why go to war at all? You can't take their strongholds.

That was kind of my point in the "Altdorf vs. Karaz-a-Karak" thread. They don't need to leave, just sit up on top of a mountain and hammer away at the anvils.

Yeah. With poison gas on at least one.

Well my friend told me that they shoot lightning from the skies these damned anvils so in my opinion we should put lightning rods on our roofs to be safe and I am sure the collage of engineering would agree. I am already imagining a Frankenstein lab were the engineers use the power of the lightning supplied by the dwarfs so they can operate machines such as old fashioned mirco waves cause no engineer would dare go to work with out his mircowave food.

I agree, with the following changes...

Well my friend told me that they shoot lightning from the skies these damned anvils so in my opinion we should put lightning rods on our robohorses to harness the power and I am sure the collage of engineering would agree. I am already imagining a brigade of shiney metal horses crackling with electricity where the engineers use the power of the lightning supplied by the dwarfs so they can operate machines such as electrolances and lightning-ward cause no engineer would dare go to work with out his ridiculously dangerous weaponry.
