Happy Birthday! :::cheers:::

If you don't mind me saying it, your painting has improved considerably. The state trooper is much better than the KotWW. It's most noticeable at the eyes.

Happy (belated) bday! :P
Which model of Boris Todbringer is that? Don't think GW had it in their catalogue for a while...?

EDIT:
Ah, never mind. Saw it in your updated post  ;)
Did they release it as a blister/small box, or was it only in the Elector Counts box (4 figures)?

All the Elector Counts got a release in a blister and besides Marius Leitdorf (now in a box) they are still available as blister as far as I know.

Great work so far.

Paint the war wagon!

Thanks, and I intend to do the War Wagon for this:
Quote
September : Imperial Large target (Steamtanks and War Altars)

But for now I got some assembling to do first before commiting to more painting.. hope to do some more stuff before the Eurobash!

No, you should do the war wagon in time for the eurobash! Forget the painting contest.

I've seen quite some Warhammer stores the last 1 to 2 years, but I never came across an Elector Count blister  :O
Nor have I seen them on the GW website.

Then you haven't been in Leeuwarden  :closed-eyes: seen them there enough times in the old bright red blisters and in the now dark red blisters.

No, you should do the war wagon in time for the eurobash! Forget the painting contest.

I am sure I won't have enough time to do that and then I won't have another large model for the contest!!!
Tell you what I'll only paint the war wagon and do nothing else till the Eurobash if I get a SteamTank in return for free at the Eurobash?  :engel:

You can have one of Soth's steam tanks!

And you are right about electors being sold in blister packs. I've seen them.

Does Soth agree?  ::)

I tried to order some Kislev Horse Archers last year, but they sold all blisters at a fare (which reminds me he didn't seem to want to tell which fare...).
Alas!

Added the models from the Battalion Box to post #2
Also noticed that the Knightly sprues in the battalion box (which are 7th ed?) are the same as the sprues from 6th edition, going with this assumption for now till I can verify it with a normal box of knights from 7th ed.

Hope to update here soon again with some pictures of my cannon + crew and an Engineer for the painting competition.

So here is my my engineer entry which took me some time to get done but I made it before the deadline!!
I was still not sure about the little creature that holds up the support pole so I shaved it a bit so it would look like a goblin/snotling that had seen to much torment in the dungeons of Altdorf.

I love how you made the kid (or little old man if you look at how GW painted it) a Goblin. Some people find the miniature really morally reprehensible when they notice the kid, as most people see it, with the foot on his back. Not that I have a problem with it, I love the fig! Making it a Goblin just makes it alright!

So here is my unit of Knights of the Blazing Sun, ready to be primed and painted.

Some are not sitting straight, but that is because they aren't bretonnia knights that can be pinned in the back of the horse (these still need to be glued after painting them)

TGM on the right side
first line knight, musician, champion, SB (old model), knight
second line old knight, new knight, old knight, new knight, old knight
back line 2 more new knights.
Added to all the new knights little flags to the lances and added a sheathed sword to their side.

took some pictures of my newly assembled units

The 7th Ed Crossbowmen, I used the "repeater" crossbow as his weapon and added the scope from the Helblaster/Helstorm box to represent his higher Ballistic Skill on the Marksmen. (scope doesn't show in this picture) and added the skull to the base.

And my 7th Ed Halberdier unit (already had 10 now boosted them by 20 with command). As the box really fails to provide stuff to make a good Halberd captain I used a Halberd in one hand from the militiabox (6th ed) and decorated it with bones on either side of the blade and added the skull with the laurels to the back of the blade. Gave him a streching left hand also from the militia box (6th ed).
Also added one Halberd head to the banner to represent the unit's origen (swordsmen are represented in the box by the 2 crossed swords.. but nothing again for the Halberdiers, same goes for Spear ornaments)

Eventually this unit should go to 50 strong.
