Your Elite Slots are not taken...so why not taking the big guns of the empire?

Very nice fluff list but put the WP on barded Horses.

A little Fluff
Ferdinand III was the first of three sons to Prince Ferdinand II of Carroburg. Growing up alongside his brothers Franz and Rustov, Ferdinand clearly excelled academically and appeared to be the perfect successor to his father. Until, in his seventeenth year he accidentally killed the Nephew of Boris Todbringer in a drunken duel.

He was instantly cut off from the family, and sent off to join the priesthood. Ferdinand’s heart was broken by this abandonment and he became bitter and vengeful. Over the next fifteen years he plotted, betrayed, and murdered his way to the position of Lector. Still he was not content. Soon his father would have to be succeeded by one of his two untarnished sons. Ferdinand would have his vengeance.

Rustov, the youngest of the brothers was killed when his musket mysteriously exploded while hunting boar. As Franz was leaving for Altdorf, his father was found stabbed to death in his bed chambers. Franz was stopped en route, and when his carriage was searched a bloody knife and several heretical tomes were found hidden within. He was tried and found guilty of heresy and regicide by and outwardly lugubrious Lector Ferdinand. Even as his brother begged for his mercy and was roasted alive at the stake, not a quiver of emotion could be seen on Ferdinand’s face.

His mother was found swinging from a noose on the northern wall of the keep. It appeared that she had committed suicide out of despair and shame.

Ferdinand, now the only living member of the royal family, was coronated Prince of Carroburg, and canonized for having the strength to punish his own brother for his heinous crimes.

Few realized that Ferdinand had become one of the more powerful and influential figures in the empire. The Prince-Lector of Carroburg

The prince is only 31 but appears aged before his time. Since his estrangement from his family he has grown tall and thin, appearing almost weakened, but this is far from the truth.

He wears the traditional black curaiss of The Prince of Carroburg at all times along with the bright, blood red cloak and robes of a Lector. His mostly bald head coupled with his sharply pointed nose give him a very raven-like appearence. He carries the ornate, slender-hafted Hammer of Judgement as a badge of his status in the church. His shield is round, bronze, and ornate, engraved with his family's crest and his motto Nemo me impune lacessit.

With rumours of the crown circulating The Prince is taking his army north under the pretense of cleanising the forest in service of the church. However he is truly drawn by the crown and the power it would grant him.

Nothing is now beyond him. To find the crown the end will always justify the means. Expect anything and trust no one.

Wow man, good fluff.  Dude was definitely out for vengeance.  I'll have to make sure to keep him on my good side during the coming campaign.

If you have a full story, the Imperial Office would be a good place for it.

I always like reading the fluff others have come up with.  It shows my lack of effort and the fact I should be finishing the stories I've already created.

Is this the first time you are using so many Priests or have you been running them for a while?

I admit, I don't think the idea of that many is for me - but I do wager they are effective on the battlefield!

This is the first time i've done this, but it appears to be very effective. With hate, my units can do some cc damage. Also w/ five bound spells at Power Level 4 I have something to say about the magic phase. I'm gonna finally play this list this weekend. I'm sure all will go well. :icon_biggrin:

Pretty awesome fluff, nice to see an evil Empire guy for a change. When it comes to characters in your list, they will probably die in challenges. I would give Ferdinand a VHS so that he won't die, and maybe put some magic items out and about. If you drop the pistoliers you should be able to afford it. Good Luck!  :biggriin:
