Just back from Tenerife, owe, will post some pics!

================================

GW sent me a 2nd batch of Marksman of Miragliano for no reason!!!

They were supposed to send 4 replacement Xbows?!

They sent a whole fresh 12 men?!

=================================

I've also sculpted 10 new Halberds from 5 different kits,

Ask yourself , what is real? 5 sense filtered reality is a very limited perspective.

I heartily approve, I would do more of the same myself if I had sufficient militia halberd arms.  Wouldn't it be a more perfect world if GW did a large sprue of just one weapon, arm and weapon together like the militia halbard (I have trouble gluing the blades onto the shafts in the line editions, and making them look good) with a variety of arms and positions? Cant wait to see them painted. steveb

I've found they don't bother replacing bits any more, especially if it's something boxed. They just send the whole kit these days. I think they started this when they stopped doing bits orders for everything in their catalog and only doing specific bits.

I bought a Karl Franze last year. He was missing the banner pole. I called them up and had them send me a new bit, expecting just the banner pole, I got the whole kit. So now I have a second Karl Franze I can mount on a Pegasus or Horse. I also got a 2nd whole deck of magic cards when one was missing from a deck I bought when they were first released last year.

I like the old fig. It's nice, but this paint job looks a little rushed and not up to your normal standards.

I thought so! The highlights on the blue are a bit sharper and less smooth than you normally do. A unit of them will still look great though.

My impression is that you used a different type of blue. The previous miniature had a deeper, cleaner blue, whereas this one is more shabby and worn-out. Could be the lighting. But if it is intentional, I actually like the second one better.

From what I can see in those little pictures the highlighting does look better! The headpiece looks good, but I like it without it as well.

lighting is key, if you go with low light the highlights look dimmer and the model flatter

ramp up the brightness and it takes on a nice depth

too bright and washes out!

thanks for your comments
