My First 1000pt List
« on: January 30, 2005, 12:56:54 PM »
This is my first 1000pt list.  I know there isn’t a Wizard in this list but my one opponent and I are new at this we have decided to tackle magic a little latter on.  Hopefully, I have made a list that will let me start to learn basic coordinated tactics and ease my transition into larger battles.

Any and all feedback is welcome.  Thanks for your time and attention.

Looks very good for a first list.
However, the points cost for your huntsmen is wrong-they are 10 pts/model. That's not really a problem here: take only 5, for 50 points, and you are still within the 1000 points limit.

Oops!  Thanks for the correction.  Change made.

By the way my opponent will be fielding Orcs, if that makes any difference
in what I should field.

Thanks again.

Great way to start. My now regular opponent started a High Elves army, and I hadn't played for a few months, so we started exactly the same way - no magic, and only one character. We built up from there, keeping mainly the same troops, just adding a new unit every two or three games and raising totals to 1200pts, then 1500pts.
No worries about winning, but getting used to how units played in different situations, trying different tactics.
Later we added a wizard each and tried the magic.

Great versatility.  You shouldn't have a problem with this list at all.  It's a nice core army for when you want to expand.
Me and Wissenlander had babies!

Thanks for the words of encouragement.

Now all I have to do is finish painting my pistoliers and I will be all set.

Thanks again guys!
