Considering I live on a hill in the middle of nowhere, I find this acceptable.

Here is mine.  I also live in the middle of nowhere.

And Rage is fantastic.  Still a slight tearing when I turn but looks awesome.  Feels like an ID game for sure.  Probably a 7.5 or 8 on the 10 point scale.

Yeah but I live in Wales. I win.

And also lose at life.  :icon_cry:

Getting it tomorrow, can't wait! Fortunately I'm also getting Dark Souls, so while RAGE takes 14 days to install, I have something to do (DS is actually the game I want more though).
I thought he should act responsibly and just kill himself.

The Battlefield 3 beta ends after this weekend.  :icon_sad:

Still don't understand how people have reached upwards of rank 50 already.

As I live in a region with 736.000 people, the province capital is only 10 km away fromw here I live and there's a university city (with fiber network) within 5 km, I don't really feel my own connection (which is worse than yours) to be really acceptable. The telecom infrastructure needs to be replaced fast where I live.

count down to 5.30 when I get to play rage.

I will rage if it isn't delivered today.

I am really enjoying Rage.  I think those people who are upset about it are doing so because they expected Fallout3 or Borderlands.  It is neither.  It feels a little like Borderlands at times, but not much.  It is like a decent racing game with Quake 4 stapled over the top.  Much better feel than Doom 3 (which I loved) and the characters you meet look AMAZING.

indeed. My wife says it has arrived though! waaaagh!

legitimate rage complaints:
lack of tdm and co-op campaign
dodgy ending
weird graphic issues on pc (now fixed? not sure)

illegitimate rage complaints:
lack of autosave
not open world
not enough rpg stuff

from what I can gather, a lot of the people who are disappointed obviously havent followed the previews/interviews with id people. They were very keen to say it wasnt an rpg, but had some rpg elements, and that it wasnt a true open world etc.

I can't wait to wingstick someones head off.

Dark Souls is causing me to rage out.

I love this.

Also RAGE runs pretty smoothly on my new Pc, which is nice.

You get a spikey knuckle thing for punching (I have never punched anything ever), double barrel shot gun which I shot two times before getting the combat shotgun which is much better, a special dune buggy (I haven't seen it yet), and the Crimson Elite armor which is awesome.  But no, you aren't missing anything important.

Apparently, the issue with Rage performance is that it is heavily dependant on raw processor power.  Unlike most PC games which rely upon super graphic cards, the people having the least issues with the game are the high end i7 Quad Core users.  Luckily I bought an i7 Quad Core and am running at maximum res and 60+ fps.  There is some tearing which is an ATI issue.

I don't like how they have you going back to the all the same locations you've already done.

Lazy!

Well you do the same thing in Borderlands and Fallout.

I am finding it quite fun.  The enemies could use a little variety.  I almost enjoy the driving more than the shooting.

RAGE is fun.

Dark Souls is rage inducing. It's so fun and wonderful, but also the hardest thing I've played. They hit the "Hard but fair" balance perfectly in Demon's Souls, this time I think they missed the fair part at times.

Looking forward to it.

Imported Catherine for the PS3. Downright hilarious, and a great game. Very challenging, beaten it on normal, starting Babel now. Recommended to anyone who likes a humorous story and puzzle games in combination.

The feeling when I finally killed the Belfry Gargoyles was incredible.

And that's what, the first proper boss? My God.

Borderlands is so lazy! And has shit story and crap ai.
But is driven by comedy and the coop and loot. Single player borderlands would be shit.

I am enjoying rage a lot though-

Why you bastard!  Borderlands is one of my 5 favorite games.  I have logged in the neighborhood of 120 hours into that game.

I would have gotten Rage for the PC if it weren't for the shitty port. Now I'm not getting it.

I've completed it twice, and all the dlc. Its great! But its not a masterpiece of storytelling or variety.

But it does have remarkable style and the kind of game play that brings you back again and again.

I adore it in every way.

Rage is totally awesome.  I love it completely.  It is an 8.  People who don't like it expected something that the game never promised.  I even enjoy the card game that is included.  Like Magic light!
