I have piles of graphic and clothing mods.  A couple magic ones.  Some weapon mods.  I will look into SkyRE!

Ah, skyrim, if there is one thing we can look back on when we are old men is that we were there when that legendary game first hit the shelves. :::cheers:::

I play vanilla skyrim myself though I did get the dlc for the dawnguard,  exploding crossbow bolts and mounted combat are truly epic.

I also play dark souls, dragon's dogma, dragon age 1&2 (if it wasn't for Varric then 2 would have been disappointing). I just recently purchased dark souls 2 and oblivion for the xbox. I got some gaming to do :biggriin:

As a side note, I also play 3ds and am looking for friends to add to my list. So far the online games i have for it are super smash bros and fantasy life. Would like to have a friend or two for either of those games and especially the upcoming monster hunter 4 coming out for it.

Final note concerning skyrim, Empire rules and stormcloaks drool! :-D

Pha! My PC's an imperial himself, but I've joined the Stormcloacks right away. I mean, what normal person would follow some a-holes that just minutes before wished to hang him?

As for the difficulty. I play mainly an archer/assassin character, who shoots his bow and then charges with twin daggers in his hands. The problem is this tactic really relies on me being sneaky. Once the enemy sees me it's a bit ruff. Fortunately I have potions and a Dark Elf companion. ;)

Oh and I did read about the best mods. The thing is most of them have to be downloaded from Nexus, and they charge you. I refues to pay even a single penny for a fan-made free content.

Probably the easiest way to play the unmodified Skyrim is a stealth archer.  The bow line with stealth is brokenly powerful!  You can fire, and hide, wait for the target to wander off, and then do it again.  The hardest way to play vanilla is with magic.  Magic is decent to start but even the best spells are terribly underpowered since they do not truly scale with level like the creatures do.

God I love that game!

Well, the Stormcloaks are loathsome racists who are trying to hijack the country after murdering the legitimate ruler. The Imperials aren't a great choice, but the Stormcloaks are too horrible to consider.

Plus the Empire are the only ones who can stop the Thalmor.

I like the master-level illusion spell that makes almost everyone in a dungeon start fighting everyone else.

Oh, and the easiest way to play is just to smith up your weapon so it does loads of damage! Charge in and smash them.

We shall see about that. I'm not above changing my allegiance, if I see that my current employer is a s-bag. So far the Imperials are the bad guys to me. :-P

Thalmor are the real bad guys, so that makes the decision simple really.

unless you're playing a bad guy yourself, of course.

Well, a bad guy who's also an elf nazi.

The Thalmor want the civil war to continue, or failing that they want Ulfric to win. So helping the Empire is the best option.

Also, Ulfric's city is really depressing (and racially segregated)! Solitude is a much nicer place.

Yeah, Ulfric is kind of an idiot. He probably would have ended up getting most of Skyrim behind him if he hadn't killed the king to show off and forced a civil war.

I missed the whole pilot/mech genre. It looked so damn cool, but we had no computer in my house until 97 because my parents were devoted luddites.

Mine was less about luddite-ism, and more about me already being invested in consoles significantly.
Warcraft 2 (late to the party) and Age of Empires got me a PC.

Whisper me something sweet prince!

I still feel Black Ops 1 had the best single player, Black Ops 2 the best multiplayer.  Treyarch makes the best COD so far!

What? Seriously? COD MW 1 and 2 were the best, I hate the Treyarch versions. But I don't play much multi anymore.

You should try Portal and TF2 on PC, it's definitely better, and they run smoothly on toasters. Also TF2 gets updates, and is free.

Love TF2.
The main shooter I play multi.

I have a Vita. I'm convinced I'm the only person in Europe who bought a Vita.

Probably.

Super Smash Bros on 3DS is unplayable. I hate the thumbpad/stick thing.
I bought myself a WiiU on the weekend, just to ensure I have the console setup and ready for SSB4.

I imagine once that is released in a week, that is all I will be doing until after Christmas.

I bought a Vita but I'm not in Europe so my comment in no way invalidates what Patsy said.

I don't have many games for it because, well, nobody makes any.

So which do I get tomorrow?

Dragon Age Inquisition

Far Cry 4

GTA V

All look so great!  I know GTA V is amazing, and Far Cry 4 will be as good or better than Far Cry 3.  Dragon Age is the sleeper and might offer a different feel to Advanced Warfare.

I'd go DA:I, but maybe that's because I myself feel like playing an RPG again.  :icon_biggrin:

Did you already play through GTA V Fin?

Reading the reviews, I have swapped to Far Cry 4.  DA:I is getting decent reviews but most seem to say it is pretty clunky in a lot of ways.

No, don’t really like gta games, and I certainly wouldn’t buy a remake.
I prefer rpgs to fps, which is why I would go DA over FC, but by all accounts both look pretty darn good.

GTAV is like a life simulator.  Far and away the best yet and you can pretty much do whatever you can imagine.

I'll figure it out tomorrow I guess!

Saints Row has pretty much taken over the silly shenanigans that GTA used to be. In my opinion I enjoyed Saints Row 3 a lot more than I enjoyed GTAV because Saints Row doesn't tell me when I can and can't do something. It also have exploding bullets and I can pick up people and throw them several feet through the air.

I had a lot more fun with Saints Row III than GTAIV, but GTAV was sort of the most perfect thing I ever played.  If I could only have one game ever, it would be Skyrim.  If I could have a second choice, it would be GTAV.

Yeah, hard to get into the game if you don't like driving at all.  The PS4 redo looks great though with lots of added features.
