In other news, this guy is bullshit. I think. At least I like crafting in games.

See, I actually kind of agree with the guy.
I like crafting, but not at a point where it becomes a mini-game within the game, and has the potential to break the game if you don't do it.
What annoys me though, is that I can pick up bowls and platters and such, but I'm unable to smelt them down into Ingots? Why?
That said, I don't like the more basic games such as Dark Souls, and I do really like picking up all the random stuff, and being responsible for creating my own items. I just wish there was less of a crafting economy, where it makes more sense to keep creating helmets (or whatever) because they will earn the most money and easiest to manage the resources that align to them.
The other example is making a billion potions all with different effects, when really all I am going to use is the healing, mana, and anti-poison potions, and the rest I sell.
I like the variety of stuff, and like being able to use it. My problem is most of the 'use' is just to sell to make money.
Crafting in KOTOR 1 or 2 (can't remember which one) to my mind is the right level.
But most of the time I play any party based game, this is so true as to what I spend most of my time doing:
