Fallout 4 Is Driving Everyone Insane

"This Fallout 4 fever is legit, though, and it’s extended well beyond garbage fake websites. Today, for example, the world freaked out not over some big trailer leak or special announcement, but because someone put the words “Fallout 4” in their Linkedin profile.

No joke. All sorts of reputable gaming websites ranging from IGN to PCGamer rushed to report this news—that some poor, hopefully-not-fired artist at the Guillermo del Toro-helmed Mirada Studios had listed “Fallout 4 cinematic trailer” on their public Linkedin—because the world is just that desperate for morsels of information on this game.

Then, in a hilarious and Konami-like move, Mirada Studios started frantically e-mailing gaming websites and asking them to take down the news, which itself was the perfect confirmation that this is the real deal. What should be a non-story became one of today’s biggest events thanks to the Streisand Effect. (Nice job, Mirada.)"

Wow, just wow....

People who use a cheat to see through walls. Like having X-Ray vision. In a tactical game like CS that's a huge advantage. This opposing team had 3 blatant wallers, one quiet guy and one guy who kept apologizing for his teammates. And then... VAC (valve anti-cheat) struck, live in match.

Sayonara asshole. Say goodbye to your account and all your items.

His CS account. He had some quite nice weapon skins tho. From the ones I saw I reckon he easily lost between 100 and 200 dollars.

A texture you buy/grind for in CS:GO that you put on your gun. Usually a camo pattern or some other type of pattern.

Well that should teach him to try and cheat his way through. I'd bet money there will be  post soon on the support forum how it was actually his brother playing or the game just glitched or something.

Well, it does exist. Just not physically.
:)

And yes, it's just decoration. An AK47 with a nice skin won't shoot any better than a standard one. But it looks cool. And it feels nice to have nice looking stuff.
I mean, if you take the metallic paint for your car it might cost you 1000 extra, and it certainly won't go any faster because of it. Still people do it. An expensive suit won't make you any less naked than a cheap one, and still people shell out for them. You get my drift.

As for me, I don't buy skins, but I do have a couple nice ones that I cherish. This beauty for example that I got as a gift:

Same logic: The images you have on your hard drive don't exist

The images you have on your hard drive don't exist

But I didn't pay for them!

I do realise that people spend actual money for things like that. I just think it's daft. I play the star wars MMO, but I wouldn't pay for fancy lightsabers or whatever.

As I said: it's the exact same kind of daft that makes people pay for any kind of purely decorative or cosmetic stuff.

Fair enough. 200 dollars on something that can be taken away from you at any moment is especially daft though!

Maybe! I am glad he cheated with a nice inventory though. Makes the whole "getting caught" thing so much more satisfying to me.

Holy crap man! I haven't played SC2 in a year I think.
 :-D

Ah well, we can see about that next week, when I'm back from el Bash.

Well, I would be playing at my legendary skill level of "Scrub beginner" with no knowledge, so I'm already prepared for being yelled at..

I very rarely yell at teammates. Especially when being a scrub myself. Which I definitely am right now.
 :-D

I recommend playing the Multiplayer tutorials against AI. Pretty helpful, and teach you the very basics well I think.

The AI tutorials for multiplayer are indeed really good practice. A good way to practice the micro/macro skills.

I found a really good way to learn was just play co-op against players. Having a half decent partner means you should be able to survive long enough to actually get some action in.
