And did they give you your fiancé back?

I got Portal 2 for her/him.  :icon_cool:

Demon's Soul's note: The Maiden Astrea boss battle music is amazing, and plague swamps/babies are absolutely the worst things ever. EVER.

Which is why you never go near them, and that fight is where you realise you're just as bad as anyone there, and no real hero.
I thought he should act responsibly and just kill himself.

HOW DID YOU KNOW MY NAME WAS RICARDO! :icon_eek:
Your deductive powers astound me.

Kidding aside, I'm still kinda lost.

I completed L.A Noire a few days ago and thought it was only worth 7.5/10. There wasn't any multiplayer, and the ending was trying to be ironic but I just thought it was lame. Without spoiling it too much you swap characters near the end which detracts even more from the lame ending. I also realised who it was with the homicide case pretty quickly which made it a bit worse tbh.

Yeah, basically falling into the plague baby area is a loss. Just kill Garl Vinland and the way is open to the maiden, and she's no challenge.

Man I can't wait for their next game, it's in development apparently.

MechMonkey, might I ask how multiplayer would have improved the game?

And yeah, the ending was not fantastic. I was fine with what happened, but the way it happened was not meaningful. It was trying to ape noir films, and did so successfully for much of the game, and fell apart at the end.

Sig: Dark Souls looks amazing. No load times, completely open world, customizable armor, and this quote

Quote
The Iron Golem - one of the enemies from the Dark Souls announcement trailer - was the main event of a recent Namco Bandai presentation in Dubai. One swing of his huge sword sent the player character flying off the roof of a castle, where gravity quickly finished him off. We didn't get to see the Iron Golem slain. Nobody has. "We haven't beaten this boss yet," said publishing producer Kei Hirono, who told us moments earlier that they had given Richie - the poor guy playing the demo - maximum character stats in order to survive this long.

It's just with RDR there was the multiplayer which everyone loved. It made the game better and gave you something to do after completing the story. I just felt that if L.A Noire had it it would give you something fun to do after the story rather then having to play a run-and-gun-vibrator again.

I had to keep the vibration on as I couldn't change the camera so it made it hard to see stuff. I tried turning the vibration off but because you can't change the camera you just end up hitting the "a" button(or whatever button you need to press) repeatedly.

It sounds awful.

And I would rather not get a game with the average rating of 50%ish.

Plus it's an expensive arcade game for 1200.

Dark alliance =/= Baldurs Gate,

Not at all the same thing, DA is like glorified Gauntlet. Still good from what I gather.

I need some recommendations, (preferably games a bit old, so they are cheap) pretty bored of the games I have atm.
Although I am playing Bayonetta, and after the ridiculous 12 minute long intro cinematic, it's actually quite fun, if you ignore the attempted titilation which is lame.

good arcade games?

Baldurs Gate 2(not Dark Alliance)

If you prefer to kill than engage in a story: Icewind Dale 2.

I will state my opinion on Icewind Dale 2 with what I did.

I bought BG2 and ID2.

I still have BG2.

 :engel:

Finlay, I recommend you get a PS3 and play Demon's Souls you big fat wuss. Just because Yahtzee is an abysmal player of games doesn't make it bad.

If you buy me a ps3, i'll buy demons souls.

I'm going to buy BG2 from a 2nd hand shop.
I also might try to replay Jade Empire, although i wonder if it has held up.

Next game to buy: September 6th, space marine. If it gets ok reviews.

I'm getting Space marine too! Can't wait. For ps3 of course.  :engel: (well that depends on co-op numbers)

EDIT: I just found my copy of BG2 and Throne of Baal! Anyone want to play it sometime?  :engel: Finlay?
