In the meanwhile, I've discovered Prisma:

Thanks! Its been a while, but I'm still painting. Here's a Handgunner front rank:

We'll be playing another battle in our campaign after Easter. Its Relief of Carroburg, but Empire will only be spectators, watching as Elves and Chaos battle it out underneath the walls of the famous fortress. Should still be fun

Sounds like a lot of fun! Can't you lend the pointy-ears a hand, or at least a small ammount of black powder goodness? ;)

Both my opponents are bent on using Elves (Wood and High), so there's not much space for Empire troops. Greatswords will be displayed on in the trenches along one of the table edges, as I just love the look of them.  :biggriin:

I love the kitbash handgunner 3rd from the left. Nicely painted too.

Curious as to what bits were used for the handgunner 3rd from left waving his hat?  The head is from the whitewolf knights heads, and it looks like the hand with the gun is from the 6th edition handgunners, but the rest?

It was a Bret Bowman to be exact! Both hands and hat are old Empire plastics. Its a nice simple kit-bash  I'm doing another 9 of the Handgunners now - some head swaps with the Pistolier/Outrider set to be seen.

Happy Easter guys!

I really like your Bretonnian bowman conversion to a handgunner, in my opinion the empire needs more models with gambesons and you are doing your part  well done :::cheers:::

Carroburg has been relieved by a combined Elf force today, Chaos goes on the defensive!

The handgunner are almost finished - 9 need finishing touches on the bases, another 9 some highlights.

Judging by his performance in the game - they didn't help!

I've finished both regiments today:

My IC Knights are almost done - I'm bulk-painting 13 - but I wanted to show a nice shot from the Siege at Marienburg:

That is a great paintjob. Very moody too. How did you do the metal griffon?

If I haven't said so before, I want to say it again - I love those handgunners.

Glad you like them! The Griffon is a simple Balthasar Gold, with an Aggrax wash, then Mithril Silver (or whatever its called now) highlights. Thanks to the highly detailed sculpt it turned out very nicely!

Thanks guys!

The heads of the handgunners are perfect

The head swaps turned out really well - it helps counter the clone warrior syndrome these guys can suffer from.

The colour scheme on the Knights is in line with the rest of the army, so the plumes do appear a bit "Reiksguardish" but they'll be acting as regular IC Knights. The name of their Order is yet to be determined.

I'm not entirely happy with the arms on the champion and musician - I wanted some variety so they have the White Wolf ones but I'm considering changing them back to full-plate.
cheers,
Lee

I have to agree with everyone else I love the color choice. It really compliments the snowy bases and gives them a cold look. I hate to face off against them, they look like they'd ride my poor Stirland foot down like grass.  :::cheers:::

The Knights have yet to see battle (at least in their painted state). Almost got a game in with the Empire this weekend but my friend ended up in the hospital ().

I did get the time to finish my Halberdier horde, though
