Though the 40k players with the custodes fetish will buy them madly. That's actually their true mission, Imho, since marines are the numero uno on the GW's ladder of importance.

They will sell like hot buns.

One of the big wigs... once told them "If a household doesn't have an income of $70,000, we don't consider them a GW target customer."

I will admit - the Stormcasts make very nice Marines, and scale excellently with Terminator components. I will have some pictures later on today.

The not gold color schemes are absolutely atrocious.

IKR. Did they get a 6-year old to come up with the color schemes?

A friend said they look like corals http://goo.gl/zGCQlD

Speaking about the color schemes. I am still looking for what appeals best for me to paint my Eternals in.

I have seen 6 sofar:
1. Hammers of Sigmar (the gold with blue emblem parts)
2. Anvils of the Heldenhammer (black armour with gold trim)
3. Celestial Vindicators (Green/blue-ish armor with gold trim)
4. Astral Templars (dark purple/brown-ish with gold trim)
5. Hallowed Knights (silver armor with gold trim and blue emblem parts)
6. Lions of Sigmar (gold armor with purple emblems)

Maybe the big book released the 18th will showcase more..

But I have not yet decided on how to proceed

Edit: added the 6th one (found a picture from the starter book)

Hammers of Sigmar or Celestial Vindicators. Both color variations seem to give them a more divine feeling compared to the others

I think they need a lot of gold on there so they look otherworldly.

2 and 5 for me. Would go for a interesting dark souls theme, what with burnt black knights from the hellfires of chaos and silver knights to fight other enemies.

So in the What's New section a picture for the different stormhosts are now shown, and in that 1 picture are now 8 different hosts

Adding:
"Mealstrom of Light" (white/greyish armour with gold trim and blue emblems)
"Knights of the Aurora" (silver/steel armour with gold trim and green emblems)

I rather like both of these

The new stormcast colors look pretty good(they look better with swords also). That gateway is several kinds of awesome though.

This piece of plastic costs €26. Unbelievable. I'm actually glad I don't like any of these miniatures.

Yowza.  This seems so far removed from the Warhammer of my past.  Suppose one could call it dark fantasy, if these new stormcast eternals are considered to be demons from beyond.  At least they seem to be cast in plastic and not that finecast crud.  I'm finding it hard to buy into this stuff mentally, let alone the cost being $28 for a single figure.  It doesn't fit my view of the Empire at all, not that is is suppose to, I suspect.  Yowza.

About the buildinstructions of the Starterbox, I found one little mistake (and confirmed with my buddy that it wasn't a one time production error)

According to the buildinstructions the Bloodsecrator needs to go on a 32mm base. But there are only 25 bases of that size (needed for the 20 Bloodreavers and 5 Blood Warriors). And after I was done with the Eternals I had one 40mm base left.
The model for the Bloodsecrator does justify a bigger base so my assumption would be a small size notification error in the buildinstructions.

This could be a little problem if you haven't looked at it before hand as the Blood Warriors and Bloodreavers come in later in the booklet and you are building it in the sequence the book shows.
Uh oh. :icon_lol:  Glad I can laugh a bit at that.  It makes sense, yet I can see some folks being confused by this.  Good catch! :::cheers:::

And once a 40K player buys one, he'll buy more.

To be honest, I tried imagining myself painting one, and that was difficult.  I've got so many painting priorities on my painting desk currently, I'm beginning to wonder if I'd ever give paitng one of these things a try.  My time, energy, and money is limited and thus valuable.

Yeah found out that a few people already encountered this problem already on the FB group Warhammer Fantasy

Are the swords some sort of upgrade?  Plus, the shields are all the same.

I'm sorry gentlemen, but I'm going to paint more of my Empire oriented figures before, and if, I ever paint any of these things.

The swords are a weapon option with the new box of Liberartors.
Options are:
Hammer + Shield
Sword + Shield
2x Hammer
Sword + Parrying blade
and then 1 in 5 can wield a 2h Hammer or 2h Sword

How many figures in a "Liberator" box?  And I'm afraid to ask the price.
