Well, you can have 'em as far as I'm concerned!

But first I'm getting my murderbots.

There's no adversary like Tyranids. Om Nom Nom.
You should make a duplicate of your IG army, only instead of urban warfare paint job they should all look like starship troopers. Then you break out them when you fight the Nids.

The longer Tau are delayed, the longer it will be before I decide to start buying them.

(Then again, maybe the prices will go up.)

I may be a bit late but, did the necrons ever get an update or are they still using the 3rd edition codex?
nevermind I scrolled down in the topics and saw my answer.

would like to see a tau update.  I rather like the current codex for the spikey boys.  but then again I think its because I fear a 1k sons nerf...

Had that idea for some time, then I found the Greater Good. And I saw it was good. And great.

Then rejoice, for the internet sayeth they shall be overhauled early next year.

How could 1k sons possibly be nerfed? It's not like they're much good currently... in my opinion the second worst troops choice, only coming in before Noise Marines.

They're just too expensive for what they do. They look all right at first glance, but AP3 bolters aren't all that hot, especially with the abundance of cover saves around. They can't have special weapons and are worse than normal CSM in close combat. The 4++ helps, but not enough to lift them out of mediocrity.

It's not that they're unplayable - I've run a squad of them for several years. It's just that when you compare them to the other available troops choices their straw comes up pretty short.

I dunno, I don't think they are any worse than Plague marines.  I think BEserkers are just really nasty for a low point value.  The good thing about the sons is that they can be both light and heavy infantry killers, freeing your heavies and elites for anti-vehicle.

Plague Marines don't have to take a sorcerer, have defensive Grenades, T5 and feel no pain, can take special weapons and the champ can have a fist - something I always like to have. And if I take 7 and give them all the bells and whistles they'll still be cheaper than a unit of Thousand Sons, and are FAR more versatile.

Berzerkers in my opinion battle with PMs for the top spot. Those two cult units is where it's really at.
As I said, Thousand Sons are playable, but if you look at it from a "what's better" perspective, they simply lose out.

Just use the grey knights book, or something.

Chaos really needs a new model range. Everything looks bad!

I actually think the chaos models are really good in a lot of places.  My buddy bought the plague marine conversion kits from Forge world and they look really good.  The terminators look absolutely amazing!

Chaos is in need of updates here and there in the mini range.  A plastic Chaos heavy weapon box would be nice.  A multi-part Raptor kit, in plastic, is also needed.  I wouldn't mind better Beserkers...some of them are just silly looking.  But I think a lot of the stuff has done pretty well, given the time its been around.
Let them taste Reikland steel!

I fondly remember the old Chaos Terminators. Great models, especially the one with the Reaper Autocannon.

The Chaos plastic Terminators are pretty good as well. I have some of the old metal ones around somewhere, but you can't really mix those in because they're just too small in comparison. Looks like the midget brigade compared to the plastic ones.

I think the plague marines and the berserkers look cool.
I don't care about the rules.

Pass the machete.
