The wall fail has really put me off! 5 more Skitarii close to completion, though.

Dont worry about the basing. Just get the models done and a coat of ron earth and you can do them :icon_lol: all together at the end. T will mean they are all the same.
I find with my marines i do them as i go and the materials and style changes over time.
Looking forward to seeing the new additions.
Im going to do some painting tonight for the first time in ages.

Hyped to do more painting after fr1days flying visit, i was ready last night.

By the time kids were in bed, dinner was cooked and eaten while watching a show it was 9.30. Then I remembered ID forgotten my mum's birthday and scrambled for flower delivery in Friday, was 10.10 by then.

By which time I felt too tired to start, but then ended up being up till 12 anyway.

Sigh.

You've just got to do it. Like work really.  Ive stayed up late to many times and not painted and thought.'what have I achieved,  I've watched some shit tv'. Even the if it's just a couple of base coats or some basing, I the end it gets you closed to finished.
You're skitarii look really good IRL, keep it up.

Skitarii can't have any OBJ sec units, as no HQ.

The only one I can have are the servitors.
Aren't the servitors from the allied detachment OBJ sec?

I could change it to take out the allied detachment and robot formation, and just have a CAD with a dominus, 2 units of servitors and 2 robots.
Lose the formation bonus for robots though.

Also not sure j can be bothered painting 3 onagers!

I've got a second onager to paint and you're right they're a bit of a ball ache. The neutron lasers are hellacool though. I've not bothered giving my vanguard any special weapons as they seem pretty good at irradiating to death most things with their basic guns.

Spray macragge blue, dry brush alaitoc blue, dry brush lothern blue focusing in raised edges and joins between armour plates.

It's getting a wash of half water half guilleman blue to merge it together.

If it takes it down too low I will do a gentle drybrush of lothern on top.

Stayed up till 1.30 finishing them as I (thought) I was so close, then couldn't stop myself.

Now I'm shattered!

Gonna take a bunch of stuff on holiday to paint next week, I managed to do my eldar fleet last holiday.

They still need bases though! Hope that doesn't put you off again.

Yes, I think i constructed his leg slightly wrong, so he leans backwards too far. Going to prop him on a rock when basing.

I'm going to buy some barrels. Slate, barbed wire, barrels, i-frames. I think that will be enough.

I enjoyed painting these. Although im not sure what to do with his middle panel. The only thing not looking forward to are the onagers.

Got to finish the Dominus and the Datasmith. (the blue is finished on those, did at same time as robits.)

Gold details, like on the other one?

The basing idea sounds nice.
