I bought a Citadel Wood thursday and have now assembled it.. well the bare trees as I first want to paint it up before adding the leaves. But before that it's back to painting the Stormhost.

I can 100% advise you to do the leaves seperate, as you are planning. I painted 6 woods in a week. By the end of it I had come to 2 conclusions. 1) I was glad the leaves were painted seperately 2) I would never paint a wood again!!

Tip: When you are sticking the leaves back on after painting, try and use a fast drying hard sticking glue. On my first wood I used plastic glue but I had to hold it for a long time and it kept bending off due to the weak connection point. I ended up using super glue.

Only to add the Celestral grey to the lightning emblems then I can apply the first wash of Nuln Oil

Another Work in Progress picture.

Still need to do a lot of highlighting on these, and made some progress on the Lord Celestant

Sorry, but not seeing the last two posts where there have been pictures.

weird as I see them, and I know the FB album is set at global setting, not friends or something, from where the links are taken. And they are no different then all the other pictures (same FB album)

This morning I had the same problem (with other threads too), but it has solved itself now.

Amazing work, those Stormcasts look phenomenal!  :eusa_clap:

Are you planning on getting the archer Stormcasts?(forgot the name)  If my wallet wasn't spitting out moths I'd be focusing on those lads and sword-armed Eternals.

So it won't be too long now that I will finish my Stormcast Eternals (Lord Relictor, 3 Retributors and 3 Prosecutors and then the Lord Celestant will take a bit longer), so I would like to know some color scheme's for the Citadel Wood, mainly the woodwork and leaves.
Would like to know Base, Shade, Layer and Highlight colors for them. For the Leaves I was thinking abut doing to colors, spring/summer colors so green. Another time I will look into fall colors.

Thanks for any input you guys/girls can give me

So my next few units are done (even with Transfers, added those also to the Liberators) Hope you like them! (Still hoping on some paint tips for the wood), next up will be my Lord-Relictor, only a few more details to do.

Prosecutors with paired Celestial Hammers including a Prime (Starterset)

Retributors including a Prime (Starterset)

A shading and then some highlights and those wings will be the best prosecutor wings I've seen these two months (haven't seen many, though)  :::cheers:::

Vince this all looks amazing. Your painting is great.
How are you going to do the bases?
There are 40 different shades of black, so many fortresses and ways to attack.

So why you complaining!

For now I have the following in mind:
PVA-glue some sand I got stored then Eshin Grey, shade Nuln Oil, dry brushing something not sure what, and putting down some or more tufts of static grass (scorched grass by GW) trying to get a good feel by the amount, not too little, not too much.
And should be highlighting the rocks also with something. But need to determine what will look great compared to the Eshin Grey, not so sure about the color choice done by GW (Tyrant Skull)

I really like the green and the gold look with these guys and the reddish leather really brings it together.  The Lord Relictor does look a bit like Killface from Frisky Dingo, though, but just his head.   :::cheers:::
