Im looking forward to playing your forces at the next bash. They look great, so will be great to see them in the flesh.

You cant beat a good game of 40k with well painted armies.

I just hope to keep the flow going and paint as much as I can before the bash! :)

I managed to finish my Piranha, though I want to add some decals, but the vior'la red (the ones I get with the sets) is not the color I want to use...

I also got a Cadre Fireblade bought and build for the execution of a dronefish build.

Also a small recap of my 1k tournament in the blog post.

Some sort of plexi glass screen in front of their cock pit.  Don't know how I'd model one on my model either, but I'd like to do that.  Probably representing more glass then plastic, sort of like those ww2 cockpits of old, except I'd want to be all in one piece, it's Tau after all.

Well it's an iteresing idea and I'll keep it in mind. If I find something suitable I'll try and implement it

Thanx Xath!

Here are some Drones Battle-ready (meaning that I wil forgo edge Highlighting for now on the 2 whites and for other models on the black parts and the grey cloth parts, all other highlights and detail will be done as that mostly defines my models I think)

And started work on the Cadre Fireblade:

So he will be next up, hopefully with my Commander that is halfway on doing the layering of the whites.

Gorgeous colour scheme and execution.

Just as an aside, is it me or do the legs on that fireblade look too short?

And it's the camera angle together with the model being tilted over forwards, as it's not fixed to the base yet it's leaning on the rifle.

Yeah it's awesome that she really wants to tag along in daddy's hobby, though playing still asks to much of her concentration strain unfortunately.

Also I found out that batch painting for base colors works great, but need to tone done on anything beyond that going for 2 models a time. That keeps me going better and finishing my models without feeling blocked by the amount of layering that needs done.

They look great SKS, really like the fusion blasters on commander and the cloak of fire blade.
There are 40 different shades of black, so many fortresses and ways to attack.

So why you complaining!

That cloak is just gorgeous. I continue to be impressed with how good you managed to get the white on everything. I can't get anything that looks that smooth or well done.

Too much to my liking, but I do like the resut even though it's still only battleready. But I dare not to really time the work I put in.. I would scare myself I think.

Anyway here is a small update on my progress
Just some more Shield Drones done (battleready)
