All 4 of the rumored AoS box sets are up on the community page already. This community page beats all the old rumor mills!

Well one could think that if it's on the page, than it wouldn't be a rumor, but then again, this is GW we're talking about. :icon_wink:

I take it that these will just be seasonal and not a permanent sell. I am really wanting that stormcast but with the recent 2month loss of income this is slipping out of range.  That's life! It's such a good bargain.

....I wish they would have announced that it was a limited release. I saw quite a few ebay and kijiji posts up for sylvaneth and ironjaw armies up for sale a few days after they spoiled these upcoming releases. People figuring these were permanent box items and panicked to get a portion of their money back.  Poor newbs.

...of course I got burned by buying a box of Orruk Gore Gruntas for that outrageous price. Then they came out with the start collecting boxes that were liteally like $5 more than the gore gruntas but you get a character and 10 ard boyz. ....I said never again GW!

A lot of people are holding out on getting Fyreslayers until there is a good bundle box with the Magmadroth

Ya I bought it at the outrageous price. I kinda wanted 1 of everything so I bought a box of brutes, a box of ardboyz, box of gore grunta's($95), and mawcrusher. Then 2 months later the $100 start collecting boxes came out.  I didn't think they would ever lower their prices significantly. I guess sales must have been REALLY low for them to release those cheap box sets.

If the gore grunta's were only $60 or $70 bucks then I wouldn't have been too mad. But literally a $5 dollar difference? Its like they were deliberately planning to slap customers in the face with that one.  ....same with the individual characters but I didn't fall for that one.

With those value boxes sales have actually skyrocketed for AoS, at least in my local shop and from what I can tell online. I do think the new financial report will show that as well.

On the TGA forum I see also a lot of 40k players making the way to AoS just because the entry level is so low to actually get started

Funny you should say that. According to their new half revenue statement they made close to 13  million £ . Nearly double what they made for this period last year at 6.2 million.

This thought immediately get my interest. If there was a good bundle for Fyreslayers, especially one if the magmadroth, I'd immediately get it. The bundles so far have been very good deals, something I never thought I'd see again from GW.

This would have gotten me to buy a Fyreslayers battle box as well. But GW didn't release it so I placed an order with Avatars of war for their plastic beserkers, which are very customizable and easy to convert.

Funny you should say that. According to their new half revenue statement they made close to 13  million £ . Nearly double what they made for this period last year at 6.2 million.

I think the single biggest reason for this is the start collecting boxes.
I said it a while back that GW was pricing themselves out of their customer base. And they also realized the secondary market was sucking so much of their sales. So they have adopted the - sell a bunch of models, discontinue it, then sell a bunch of new models with better rules. This way they don't have to worry about secondary market eating their sales.
