It tickles me that all the figures in the unit are older than 75% of the forum members.  steveb

:-D :biggriin: :icon_biggrin: that makes me laugh too...until I realize that it also means that I'm even older than the knights... :x :| :icon_cry:

Gald to hear that the boys are getting the love they deserve in your army...I look forward to pictures when they are ready!

I'll get the tails off to you in the morning.

I vaguely remember seeing some of those, many, many years ago.  Didn't really like them then, not now either.

But they are a classic, and good to see them again. :icon_cool:

One of your foot knights from last months painting comp is basically an infantry version of these High Helms.

Lovely stuff here sir, particularly like your Flagellents and use of the awesome Mordheim minatures. Also liking some of the old school lead men you've got kicking around

Do you give the armour a subtle purple glaze or is it just the photos giving me that impression?  Love the halberdiers btw

It's a vermin brown chainmail mix base, washed blue, red, gryphon , babac , etc,

then i highlighted i recall using a mixture of Mythril and red ink,

don't ask me why it works ,

i've been messing about with GW paint armour metallic combinations for 12 + months,

Daaamn!

What model is that?
Is the grave too deep? Then take a sip,
Raise the brimming goblet to thy lip!
Yet a sip! Ditto one, ditto two, ditto three….
Then die contentedly.

b4 and after

The detail on the faces and armour just needs a few washes and highlight, I just let the model do all the work for me, it's that detailed a sculpt !

They look great! Maybe some other angle of view, too? Are these first painted Manaans on the net? I'm starting to persuade myself in obtaining them.
Keep happy painting. :::cheers:::
