Thanks guys!  :smile2:

Yeah - I like some of the minis better too. We agreed on time frame for the whole commission, but since each of these minis is very shape and colour specific, I ended up doing some of theme better justice than others

Thank you, thank you - far too kind!

Here are some close-up of the stuff you have mentioned...

OMG the dragons!  :icon_eek:

Thanks! But as you can see, they are not perfect. I actually worked on them as last, so there wasn't to much time for them left. Some cheeky drybrushwork and washes helped a lot  :-P

Thanks Sharkbelly! Juping from one commission to another - some 40K orks I have painted recently for a buddy...

Rather tabletop-quick and dirty project. Painted in batches of 10 or 20, 40 of them at the end (first pic)...

If I recall, they are a bit larger.

Indeed, body proportions are a bit more realistic. Here are some scale comparsions (all stolen from the great wild internet  ::heretic::)

No problem. Are you gonna use some of the ASOIAF minis for Warhammer?

I know that feeling mate  :-P I have bought ASOIAF Lan. vs. Starks set first, Fireforge stuff came later so I bought some too. Nice alternative models, and also multi-part kits - huge plus for me  :-)

Hey Guys, long time no see. I was working on loads of stuff since my list visit (most of them being ASOIAF) - I might share just some interesting ones, I don't want to spam this thread completely (as I did in the past )

BUT, I have also found some time at the weekends and started working on my own way old swordsmen. Both of them bought second hand, some of them with some paint already on. I always wanted these ones so badly since I started with my empire but never bought them when they were officially on sale for some reason. So finally - some redemption  :-D

Still WIP, but getting close. Basing is pretty plain, but since almost all of my troops look like that, I didn't bother to change that...

so you mixed up the front right one in the 2nd picture with the back left one in the first picture?

Nice work anyway!

They look ace!

Got a similar project on my table: after some 20 years, I'm finally trying to paint one unit of these nice Perry-sculpted Swordsmen. :)

Thanks for your kind comments guys!  :icon_wink:

Not really, I got half of the unit already put together and painted a bit. For some reason, couple of guys were made to look really similar and I didn't have spare parts when I started painting them

Thanks! I'll share some more stuff then, but I'll try to pop-up at least some empire stuff here and there  What about your troops I painted for you, do they work good with the rest? Did you have a chance to field them in some epic battle yet?  :-P

Good luck! It took a lot time for me to paint them too. I remember them beeing on the shelves at the time when I started with Warhammer Fantasy (6th ed., I bought empire half of the starter set), but they were soon taken down and replaced by the not-so-good 7th ed. plastic kit - so I didn't manage to buy them retail, for some reason I got two boxes of Free Company. So I'm glad I did get them second hand later  :smile2:

I think the painting looks good! :icon_cool: :::cheers:::

Thanks! I'll hopefully finish them during upcoming weekend, so I'll get you a full tour if I manage to snap some decent pics :)

I do very much love the way they look.

Thanks! I'll share some more stuff then, but I'll try to pop-up at least some empire stuff here and there  What about your troops I painted for you, do they work good with the rest? Did you have a chance to field them in some epic battle yet?  :-P

They look great with the rest. A few issues with basing, and some of your ones make the ones i thought were professional to shame.
I really love the Knights Panther GM. He looks great in the paintjob you did. They are in my cabinet, and I find myself looking at the models you painted maybe once a week. Its great!

Thank you! I trully hope they won't get smashed in the field, first time I'll play them tomorow  :-D

Thanks! Glad to hear that! I really enjoyed painted those good old minis. I don't really get my hands on them too often these days

Here are some more WIP pics of the half I had a pleasure to put together. I did some ye old switcharoo with the heads and I also tried to convert some halberd-holding arms to hold sword and shield. I kinda miss a more dynamic posis I have to say...
