Very cool (but also expensive!) piece of cover. I'm really impressed. :)

Only paid £10 for the stormraven so not to bad

Nice price!  Was that because of the missing parts?

Yes. It was missing guns on turret and certainly  bits put tether wrong. Also bad paint job.

Here are my wip on it. Needs inking and chipping then the ground doing.
Oh, and the glass on canopies

It's only dry brushed a dark red followed by a light red. Then the metal painted and transfers. The scorch marks are just some watered down black paint streaked back from the leading edges

Crashed blood angel stormraven done. Might go back and do some chipping but it's only terrain, and i fancy doing something else.
My order of a valkyrie, taurox and ork trukk arrived so on to them next. I want to bring my drop troops up to 1500pts. I've got a nice idea,  very IA8 style,  of drop troops with revilers scouts force.
The taurox and trukk are going to be 'cut and shut' to make two trukks for my blood axes

awesome! But I can't help myself, what if you make those canopy windows one or both look like it has cracked glass, would feel better as a crashed raven

You can already see that silo piece is going to be great. Can't wait to see it painted.

I agree. Will do it tonight. I've sprayed the silo as well and made a valkyrie for the drop troops.]

Really like the cracked glass, especially the circular spider web one. The silo of course already looks awesome.

Go with a rusty color, maybe add some dark brown here and there. Can you make a leak-like effects, like oil spilling out from the cracks?

Thanks guys. Playing on a good looking table is a big part of it for me.

We played the relic scenario.  With the relic in the crashed stormraven.. I tabled him on Turn 6.
