Topic: Show us your.....Bases!

This may not be quite as exciting as the majority of other 'show us' threads, but I thought it might be useful anyway. I am currently trying to update my army, I have old goblin green bases on most of my existing units, and a sort of transitional base on a few of my newer ones, but I am not really happy with it. I thought I would trawl for ideas with this thread. I believe it could be interesting/educational/inspirational for some of our other forum members as well.

pva glue + sand
black coating
drybrush with fortress grey
drybrush with scorched brown
drybrush with bestial brown
drybrush with bleached bone
pva glue on spots + grass

base painted with scorched brown
(edit forgot the layer of bleached bone...also hint best do the bases in a dozen or so you can brush over all of them at the same time saves on time and nerves.)

Great idea for a thread this.

As I am "baseless" and havent really decided on it, it would be great if like Fandir you

tell how/what the bases are made of.

...so I can steal the idea......muahahahah ! (my best evil bad guy laughter...)

Bases I have copied from le Pistolet.  the models were ment for him (exchange).


sand covered in paint and pva glue to look like mud.
