Made from old knights bodies with arms from the free company spures. A dash of green stuff here and there. Horses from GW direct order. I got two such squads. The champion is actually the one on the far right. Hes got a repeater pistol made by adding two extra barrels to a standard pistol. Picture is a couple of years old. The bases have since been finished too.

Here are mine:

Their utility on the battlefield is in deed very limited most of the time, but they are great models and I'm quite haapy with their paint job, so I play them... sometimes.
Ahem.

The cotton wool gun smoke is really well done. I've always wondered how people go about doing this. Do people use something to seal the cotton wool and make it hard wearing or is it just left untreated and fragile?

Seconded. Even if they do look like filthy Nordlanders.

I agree the phrase about the painted pistoliers vs. unpainted IC, too.

My pistoliers...

...and their reinforcements...

I switched from 5 to 7, but have been considering dropping them entirely. They don't seem capable of doing any damage, and never rally after fleeing from a charge.

Nothing too special, but I like how they turned out overall.  This was one of, if not the, first full unit I painted for Empire.

Niner fan, I love yours too much to see them unbased!

Good looking out yourmother. And you can actually use mounted crossbowmen with the 2010 summer campaign lists!
