Hi

I bring to you more news about this army.

I've been working in my own version of oldhammer Steam Tank of Von Zeppel. As you remember, this conversion kit transforms a Steam Tank into a modern war wagon with engineers on the top armed with experimental weapons (mancatcher, sniper rifle, etc). Since this kit is not selling and the price in Ebay is EXPENSIVE, I decided to build my own!

You can see the step by step of the conversion here: https://modelbrush.com/conversion-de-steam-tank-de-von-zeppel/

This easter holidays my brother (aka heresybrush) has painted it for me. For next two weeks I'll paint the customized crew:

Great conversion of that steam tank and fantastic painting on all miniatures here! Which colour(s) did you use for the black barding of the knight's horses? I like the way the light reflects from it.

Thanks for sharing your army with us!  :::cheers:::

Thanks! the black color is from Scale 75 and highlights with airbrush (Model Air Vallejo Dunkelgrau and Anthracite Grey).

Great work, I'd love to see what you'd do with a unit like pikemen.

Looks awesome, but play-ability is a problem for the unit? It's a mixed unit. More coming?

How was the blue on the mage's cloak obtained?

They can't do nothing!! The first idea was to built a unit of 30x Freeguild guards using different miniatures (greatswords and guards), but finally I've no time to paint them... so I only have painted 10 guards.

I've used airbrush and I've applied three layers:
  • Vallejo Game Azul Mágico (721) + black
  • Vallejo Game Azul Mágico (721)
  • Vallejo Game Air Azul Ultramar (722)

Highlights mixing Vallejo Game Air Azul Ultramar (722) + Vallejo Ice Yellow (858)

Really clean paintjobs and nice mix of old and current models. I plan on making an Averland detachment for my Empire army one day and this is inspiring...keep it up!

Beautiful work, just reminds me how much I need to touch up my Averland. Your paint job is much higher quality than mine, love your work.
