Wonderful stuff Chumley...I think the new Camera is doing a great job...but it appears to me that you may need a little more light to really show off the quality of your figures...what is your photo set up at this point?

Cheers,

I like the addition of the Cherub. It helps balance the composition better. There was sort of a void in the back there that was off-putting.

What's with those mold lines you left on the wheels? That's a sin worth getting burned at the stake!

What is the Cherub?

Is it mechanical or anumaited somehow, what is it supposed to be? LOL

I like the mould lines on these wheels, they are like casting lines, so i kept them on.

The book fortells a time when Chaos will rule the old world.

I don't think it has any defined purpose or design. I'd say it is a bit of a mechanical familiar, even though it comes in the General box. I believe it comes from some of the GW artwork. It was just something odd drawn in and somebody ran with. It reminds me of some John Blanch stuff.

I'd assume its a symbol of the Empires mix of magic, religion and engineering. Im probably wrong though, it more than likely doesn't have any meaning or symbolism.

umm , tis strange , maybe an wizard animated the cherub!

i'm waiting on GW again, for my screaming bell base for the walter.

I plan to have a loyal mordheim dog hound model on the base, the arch lectors stray pet , following the walter arounb , lol

gonna use 2 general's horses and a chaos chariot haft , maybe a flagellant attached by a chain to the back , pulled along by his head , lol

Unfortunately I had to speed base paint 2 generals horses , in about 30 mins, lol

It worked well, 4 main colours, over black undercoat.

I'm trying to finish the walter by next thursday , with work hectic !

The base took me about 2 hours whilst on a sales meeting call, lol

highlights on the horses will save me , and the washes ,

it's gonna look good , but not perfect

...they meant to put that cherub in the new plastic inquisitor box set that is coming out with the grey knights. Just got misplaced.

Love it, nice concept and good to see someone going conservative on the size of the altar where so many go bigger and bigger.

"We live in a prison without walls, given the illusion of freedom, but the reality of a life enslaved to the state. Most of us die in debt.

Whilst a small minority own the majority of wealth.

Watch for the Illuminati, they walk amongst us."

You say this yet you play Warhammer and have quite a huge army... Hmmm.

Gman, not sure what your point is :)?

Re the base, I used a screaming bell base, but it was too small, so then used card and 6 * 40 mm bases stuck together ,

where can i get a resin base from ?

advice would be great!

I'm going to be really, really, really nitpicky here but... the reins look a little flat.

Still; superb as always.
Is the grave too deep? Then take a sip,
Raise the brimming goblet to thy lip!
Yet a sip! Ditto one, ditto two, ditto three….
Then die contentedly.

No worries , I like critique.

I'm still thinking about putting some patterning onto the yellow reins!

Not sure what though!

It's always tough as it can make or break a model when you add some decal/patterns in bold.

To be honest Chumley, I didn't think this was going to work out from your earlier WIP shots. As is so often the case though, I was wrong. I'd echo what has already been said about the reins and Im not 100% sold on the bronze/gols headpieces of the horses but thats just personal preference and I dont think they do anything to take away from the model as a whole. Where did Brutus come from by the way? I must have him!
