Ok ditched the realm , £140 sale...

Bought 4 sections 2*4 foot Styrofoam.

Then glued grass Javis battle mats down.

Now some of you may look at this and think , ummmmm , a bit basic,

But I am making an additional fortress section,

and also plan to add about 30 proper large trees, roads etc , and 10 more buildings

I have 3 wall mounted cabinets in my downstairs office,

each holding 5 rows of 60 models, in bespoke 20mm staggered mdf laser cut skirmish style trays..

2 cabinets are now holding 600 painted models,

the final cabinet is 60 % ish painted models.

One row in cabinet 2 holds currently 60 Unreleased painted GW Empire models, LOL

probably with a value of £3000 , just for that row,

other highlights include the entire Travelling Players collection,

every original Blandford warrior,

every GW barbarian / Viking ever made, apart from the undocumented ones,

every fighter officially released bar 1 ,

every paladin, lord of battle, or hero of the known world,

every Halfling ever released ,

etc etc

The officials said there was a spare spot, after the Colossus of Rhodes was destroyed in 226 BC.

I hope you'll put a nice wooden frame around that styrofoam, it'll get damaged just by looking at it otherwise.

The sad thing is that you should only have the 2nd greatest Empire collection in the world... but no-one at Citadel seems t have thought about it and no-one at GW gives two hoots about their history. Thank Sigmar that you've got a few quid to spend on your hobby!

Can I seal using PVA ?

That would add strength surely ?

Photobucket seems to be down so I cant post images.

I got some high density Styrofoam blue boards.

Heated up a large knife and got to work!

Accidentally inhaled some plastic fumes , won't do that again.

Anyway , the hill is done.

I didn't want to fork out £30 for a hot wire foam cutting tool.

Whoa, 30 pounds for a cutting tool?
You must be looking at the really high end models. I think I got my cheap battery operated model (here in the states) for about 8 or 10 dollars.
