I think my Empire army is about 10,000 points - doesn't look as pretty as that or as well planned as that though!!!

Is the War Altar just a bit too silly? Awesome, but a bit too much?

Great painting there, and some nice conversion work!  I like how they used the bretonnian pegasus for the Captasus model.  I would have never thought of using that...

He doesn't sound like most Americans I know. As an American I find his voice annoying and odd. I'll just leave it at that.

I'm guessing this guy has more money than most. 10,000 points of miniatures is a heavy investment and then throw in Bluetable's prices for painting and converting to the level they did, I'm guessing it was at least 4-5 thousand dollars for the entire commission.

I'd say so, too, Delthos.  He funded their Christmas party as well!  Army looks great.

I agree on the altar. It is kindamagnificent from a distance but when he showed it by itself I just felt it was too much. Plus thr griff is the same as the one already in the army. Overall though the army is a great sight to see.

I definitely wouldn't to actually use that War Alter in any of the games I've played. You could see in the video how unstable it was. It wanted to tip over almost every time he touched. He had to stabilize it multiple times when he moved it around.

this is pretty awesome!

but why present it in a wobbly video? I stopped after ~4 minutes. It would be so much better to look at it in the form of nice high res pictures maybe posted on some forum...like this?

what is it with this youtube thing...oh well, it's a fad, right?

I think that is BTP's biggest issue. That guy can not make a stable, on topic video to save his life.

I suppose all Commander hopefuls aspire to command 10,000 points. I'm at 2500 roughly, though once I hit 3-4k I feel the only way to increase in pts size is buying more of the same.

I kind of wish the 6th edition Empire soldiers box was more available; they're easier to rank up and would make me want to buy up redundant amounts of halberdiers.

Pretty impressive with the turn around with painting......bit of inspiration to get my butt into gear and finish the other 8k worth of Empire I have still in boxes.

Wasn't a fan of the war alter or the fact they used blue for all the alters....but still impressive

I think the altar size is very good for an army of this size, it looks very impressive in the middle of the troops and stand out. Now put it in the 2000pts army and it will look soooooo silly.

Now I am getting all fired up to finish my few units left and post my 10 000 pts in a thread (obvisouly my level of painting is not there yet but from that distance with so many minis on the board, It should look good)

Interesting that he twice misidentified models within the first two minutes (Warrior Priest and Griffon part on the BSB). Nice work on the Steamtank.
