She's amazing. My boys are 8 and 10 and they're great but I also miss the baby days. Such funny times.

That's looking like a pretty sweet battle! I like the reinforcements on the right just waiting for their moment to pile in.

This is a bit older and was posted in my painting blog, but these are some of the designs I've worked on for people before;

Righty, and now time for something completely different. I mentioned before in some other threads that one of my other hobbies is leatherwork. Rather then start a new thread I figured I'd post some pictures here.

These are what I call panels, or tiles. They're really just practice pieces. Ways to experiment with dyes, or designs or wording. So you'll notice plenty of obvious errors. Try not to focus to much on the fact none of the words line up super well. I do a fair bit of leather work as part of the local reenactors group, and I'm particularly involved in some of the heraldry stuff. (I'm not ONE of the heralds. I just help people out with designs and stuff) So that's why the panels are all a mix of designs and mottoes/quotes/random text. It's all a bit of experimental work to see how stuff turns out.

Anyways, enjoy!

Some close ups on particular ones I enjoyed.

and finally, in the words of Yoda;

**
I tried to dig out some of my actual leather crafting but none of the finished pieces are easy to get to. The unfinished stuff really doesn't look good till it's a bit further along. Usually I'm making stuff like quivers (my most common work), wallets, satchels, knife sheaths (Also very popular) and of course the designs and such on them. I don't do clothing as much, but if I had a nickel for everyone who's wandered up and asked me to make them some kinky stuff (usually for free) I'd be a very rich man indeed. Probably a great deal more popular as well. More interesting weekends to.

Gankom these are awesome.  My daughter (Now 13 years old) has been leathercrafting since Christmas.  The tools and materials cost a fortune! Do you have any idea where to get leather cheaper than Tandy leather?  Every time I walk in there I'm $200 lighter.  She's practicing on scraps and already making coasters for friends and family.

That's awesome Grutch! Good for her! My panels there are usually my more practice pieces and I tend to do more crafting like knife sheaths and stuff. I just never remember to take pictures.

You can find a surprising amount of leather from garage and church sales. There's always someone who started and doesn't do it anymore. Tandy is unfortunately the best quality I know of, and your not wrong about the expense. It makes warhammer look cheap sometimes. One suggestion I would make, is try and find your local branch of the SCA or re-enactors. They do a lot of work with leather and if anyone knows where to find the cheap stuff in your area, those guys will. Not only that but if your lucky and your local kingdom has a tutor (It's the title in my area) for leatherworking they might even be able to give tips or lessons.

Baby 2 has arrived!

Colette, she was born 10lbs and 1oz. Mom is doing great and had no tearing.

Sisters Margot and Colette meeting for the first time:

Hurray! I can't give you any advice though, as I have two boys which I assume is a very different experience.

I was going to make a comment that we have enough whining babies coming already, but that's not fair - your new arrival may be a quiet angel!  :engel:
