I finally finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors. The roof is laid and the only things left are the ground level and the lil'house on the top.

I couldn't resist taking a ground level shot as well

I finished the large house tonight.

The other house got a little love as well. All I need to do now is finish the roof. Roooof. The TILES! NOOooooo

Yes, tiles are irritating, but if you make them larger the building looks like a ginger bread house!

Have you tried cutting the card into strips and then just cutting notches along the strips - ok maybe it's not quite as nice but it is a lot faster.

Yeah, I tried it. The problem I got was that if I could not adjust it after the roof and the tiles beneath. If I had made slightly larger tiles on one strip it would look silly and uneven but with loose tiles I can pick a smaller or larger tile to compensate for errors. Thanks for the tip, though, Mids!

Anyway, the houses are half painted. I got a pretty good facade color on the large one while the smaller might have turned out too yellow. No pics, though, as I'm tired and have lots to do tomorrow

Well the houses were finished today, in spite of the mother of all hangovers.

Add a cobbled road, a couple of beggars and a lantern to that last pic and you'd have a quite nice picture.
