I love the magma. The salamander looks ace!

Thanks Gankom! next time I'll have another one with the right texture stuff ( I hope)

So another update and a milestone marker if I'm concerned :)

to read the full story:
https://wargamingbysks.wordpress.com/2018/11/12/regular-update-almost-mid-november/

But here is the short version for this thread.

Finished my second unit of Stealthsuits

And this makes my milestone! A battle-ready Vanguard Detachment!

here are the spec's I want to run it with:

   - XV85 Enforcer Commander with 3 Cyclic Ion Blasters (CIB’s) and a Shield Generator, protected by 2 MV4 Shield Drones
   - XV95 Ghostkeel with Fusion Collider and 2 Fusion Blasters, Target Lock and Shield Generator, aided by 2 MV5 Stealth Drones
   - 2x 3 XV25 Stealth Suits (1 Shas’vre (leader) each) all bare bones with Burst Cannons

Woo they look awesome! I really have to take some time and learn to magnetize stuff. It looks so easy and helpful.

They look great Vincent. How many points have you got now?
There are 40 different shades of black, so many fortresses and ways to attack.

So why you complaining!

Woo they look awesome! I really have to take some time and learn to magnetize stuff. It looks so easy and helpful.

You just need a hand drill, some patience, maybe a bit of greenstuff and super glue, besides the right size magnets and keeping in mind the right polarity of those magnets. Once you've done a few I found it is really easy to do.. unless you want it to do on hard to reach places (like the inside of the shoulder of a Broadside...  :icon_rolleyes:)

They look great Vincent. How many points have you got now?

I can make 2000 points easy with all my T'au models, but not all are painted. This Vanguard Detachment comes at 505 points now.
Got some more Drones painted (for my Sa'cea battalion 80 points, but got more), a Fireblade 45ish, an Ethereal 50ish, Crisis Suits 300+ and a Piranha 70ish, multiple Pathfinders (10 total but special weapons not all done yet)

Work is being done on first set of 5 Fire Warriors and my Coldstar Commander

So finished up the second base of the Salamanders (on the right), but not sure if I agree with the outcome.

So left one is the Martian Ironcrust, right one the Martian Ironearth.

Benthe is happy with both and wants to see a mix in her squad (so 5 the left way and 5 the right way) but I think I can make a mix out of both.. Closest to the lava I could do the Ironearth and then follow up with the Ironcrust further away from the lava.

What are your thoughts?

So finally a bit more sustenance to my blog report again

Here to view it all
https://wargamingbysks.wordpress.com/2019/02/18/regular-update-mid-february/

I did some group shots of my 2k army ready for transport (almost) to a game tomorrow:
my Sa’cea Battalion (left side up until the Coldstar) and my Sa’cea Vanguard (right side)

next 2 shots is my T’au battalion, missing 10 Strike Team Fire Warriors which I will proxy in the game (getting some at the club).. more about this in my blog

Managed to build Darkstrider this evening.

My current list is also up in my blog (on what you see in the pictures)

Yeah that is 2k points, and those 2k points won me the game yesterday also against another T'au list with 2 Y'vhara's and a Stormsurge.
We played the 2nd one from CA'18 where you have the 1 middle objective with a 12" bubble of no invuln saves and obviously I had way more models them him because the Y'tides are both above 400 points add in the Stormsurge and that is more then half your army spent, so that gave be a benefit on grabbing the objective points.
Y'tide is brutal but only in that it will kill 1 big target a turn at best so shooting that is pretty much target priority and if I didn't wiff so bad in the first turn (I had deployed first so took first turn) one would already been dead then and there and failed to finish it off the second turn also.. Need to remember to kill what you can and stop splitting attacks to try and take 2 down at the same time.. ugh.. But eventually they only killed my 2 units of Stealthsuits the Ghost Keel and 1 Commander.

They are looking fantastic! I still love the orange as a contrast to the white.

Well I'm going to work on a scheme for my T'au Sept part of the army soon also, hope you will like that just as much :)

Every time I see your Tau, makes me want to paint mine. :::cheers:::

Well go on then, I'm not stopping you!! And let me see!  :biggriin:

I'm on it again! New update!
for the full read go here: https://wargamingbysks.wordpress.com/2019/05/03/update-start-of-may/

Managed to do some work on another unit of 5 Strike Team Fire Warriors, nearing battle-ready status. Did some work together with Benthe on the Venerable Dreadnought. but most importantly!

Got my 2nd Ethereal done! this one without the hoverdrone option.

And my biggest joy at the moment! I got my scheme finalized for my T'au Sept. And did a test on a Strike Team Fire Warrior done (battle-ready state)

Now that's out of the way I can really start making progress on my T'au army with the 2 Septs build, painting it up and giving me some diversity in paint schemes to add some variation in the stuff I need to do to keep it fun for my self..

Thanks guys!
Here is the 3rd squad finished!

So that makes it the start of my battalion detachment done (with one of the earlier finished HQ's: Ethereal or Cadre Fireblade)
