Suppose someone could use miniatures instead of the game pieces.
Anyway, this game is by Daniel Mersey, same developer who created Lion Rampant and Dragon Rampant and others.

So I pledged, for this game.

These folks have so far failed to deliver and communication has been almost non-existent. This is the only time I've had this kind of thing happen, and thankfully I only lost $25, unless they ever wake up and deliver, but I'm not betting on it.

Rec'd this board game before Christmas last year. It is gorgeous. Haven't played it yet, although plan to do so asap.

Here's another historical board game on the French and Indian War ...
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1456271622/the-french-and-indian-war-1757-1759?ref=discovery&term=French%20and%20Indian%20war
I'm not sure about this one, it looks a bit like not what I'd want. Not thrilled with them including Deerfield, but then not having anything in Maine. Plus there seems to be not much between the frontier and the big coastal cities. I like the idea of them having a secret simultaneous movement option, although not sure I'm thrilled with block counters. Besides, I have and enjoy "A Few Acres of Snow".

This looks like a fairly well crafted game ...
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1040417273/dawn-of-battle?ref=nav_search&result=project&term=Dawn%20of%20Battle
I am slightly sceptical over something that call itself the Dawn of Battle, and yet covers so much time. Plus feeling like I there's no way I'd be able to take time to experience all of it's goodness.
Maybe I am just getting old. However, for those folks not quite to this stage of life, perhaps you'd find something like this to be quite entertaining.

Had the original wargame when I was a youngster ... War & Peace by Avalon Hill ...
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/warandpeacegame/war-and-peace-6th-edition?ref=user_menu
Also, I know the guy that has designed the updates and producing them, he is a class act, a long time game creator with many to his credit, and an all around good person. I'm in for the full $89 box set with upgrades from 5th edition. He is calling this 6th Edition, and I am looking forward to it.

I have seen thse games in an earlier incarnation, and they were with out the actual city names if I recall correctly.
Now they are using the actual city names and providing more bells and whistles. Perhaps an upgrade as well, although haven't read the full thread of info yet ...
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/queengames/stefan-feld-city-collection-hamburg-and-amsterdam?ref=user_menu
I am only in for the Amsterdam game ... I like the production quality, the map, and more interested in what it is trying to duplicate than the Hamburg game. Might go in on the latter as well before the campaign is completed, but we'll see.

This is tempting ... a solitaire game regarding the Russian Revolution ...

Less than two days to go, although I already have more board games than I know what to do with currently. Yes, yes, I hear ya ... play them!
