Also - I've just taken a closer look at the WarCom article and there's an Ork with a swiss army orky knife! :-D

They're full of personality to be fair, but not a lot of interest in Orks for me I'm afraid.
As Jmash would say ...

... and when has anybody ever been sensible when it comes to buying new stuff they don't need?! :-D ...

Ok - I know this is just speculation but in general am I right in thinking we normally see a boxed release like the forthcoming Octarius, and then the two Killteams normally get their own separate release somewhere down the line?

I'm just trying to weigh up when to drop some £££ on a hefty load of Death Korps :-P

Usually, but there's no average schedule. Sometimes its a matter of months, sometimes its been a matter of years for some sets. And doesn't seem particularly tied to how popular the set is, but what they planned in advance.

Yeah that's about what I thought... Well for now I think I'll hold off from the eBay scalpers or buying the full set only to flog the rest, I shall bide my time and hope they get their own release in the not too distant future, not that my IG are getting any attention any time soon!

it seem the trend now is for people to buy up the sets like crazy then split the mini's up and sell them separately.

Very interesting promise from GW about the new Kill Team. They are guranteeing everyone that orders a preorder this weekend will get one. They're not quite using the same terms, but its essentially made to order, first come first serve. Which is both really interesting and what a lot of people have been asking GW to do for these special orders for ages.

Goes up this Saturday I believe. There was a leak floating around about prices but I never looked into it.

They've also announced a new set, with new factions and a new warzone every quarter!? ::heretic::

If those are entirely new releases every time then we're going to see a hell of a lot of new minis on the horizon. Otherwise they'll just whack an existing 2 units in a box with some scenery.

Interesting to keep an eye on - though I hope this doesn't mean the current Octarius units go OOP after the next set comes out, I hope they get a separate release as just a unit.

Well who knows how long that'll last.  Especially with what happened to Cursed the City.  Besides, it's only KillTeam, small sized forces of a section or two, badabing, badaboom.

The rumour/wishlisting is that when a new box comes out, the squads from the old box will get their individual releases. Thats the hope anyway.

Well unfortunately it was $199 here, although I did pre-order it through a local shop, and won' be paying sales tax since it is co-incidentally tax free weekend where the shop is.  The guy said it'll probably arrive in two weeks.

Looking forward to having the Orks, and the Krieg Corp, plus the scenery looks cool too.

New KillTeam box set is released this weekend.

Local hobby shops already have the starter sets and other items, although won't be letting them go until this Saturday.

So besides the new Killteam starter set, which I picked up a few weeks back, GW is releasing ...

(1.) a less expensive set featuring the Death Korp and Orcs ... and ...

(2.) another box set for Killteam with Sisters and Tau.

Plus there will be boxes of both the Death Korps, and the Ork Kommandos as well.

The latter isn't a surprise, although coming out so soon with another large boxed set for Killteam is an interesting and quick followup.

I wouldn't mind picking up some of the Tau, although no interest in the Sisters.  Then again, perhaps they'll release the figure sets separately, as they have with the Death Korp and Kommandos.

Two great announcements coming out of Gen Con last week - I'm late to the party because this is the first time I've sat at my laptop in over a week...

1. Krieg Veterans unit is available separately!!! WOOHOO!  :biggriin:

2. The Adepta Sororitas Novitiate's in the next instalment look pretty awesome! I got myself some of the new plastic Adepta Sororitas gals for a conversion jobby but was really impressed with them and have dabbled with the idea of getting a small force of Sisters... These new additions aren't helping me kick that habit (pun absolutely intended )

Pictures for us!

The Tau coming in the new box are new models, or upgrades sprues at least.
