This weekend I am starting a campaign against a variety of armies (O&G, Chaos, Tomb Kings, VC, High Elves, Dark Elves and another empire army).
I don't know much about the campaign rules etc. other than we start with Lvl 1 units (I'm taking this to be non mounted core units). I am unsure what to use but this is what I have available for the 1500 pt battles:
35 swordsmen full command
35 spearmen full command
32 handgunners
19 halberdiers full command
22 free company full command
20 archers marksmen
10 crossbowmen
10 huntsmen marksmen (don't really think I'll get to use these)
Porbably will ony get one choice for chars and that may be limited to captain.
Am considering using swordsmen and spearmen as large units with captain in swordsmen. Then use 16 halberdiers as a detachment (hard hitting unit that doen't cause panic) plus also crossbowmen and free companies as smaller detachments. Then use two units of 10 archers to try and protect flanks.
Does anyone have any comments or suggestions?
