They have charm and personality.

Like me.

 :biggriin:

I agree, I don't think they're that bad. Not the best figures, but not bad either.

As far as selling them in smaller lots, even if he got stuck with say 1/5 of them, he could probably make more money selling the remaining 4/5 in smaller lots than if he tries selling the whole thing in one shot. At least that's my opinion. At which point he could ditch the "remainders" away for next to nothing and still come out ahead.

Generally, but often you are left with a few that don't sell and they sort of become the dregs, farmed out in some crap lot.

Soth:  My first ever unit was Sword Masters.  So ugly... SO UGLY!  Acrylic paint, caked on, filling all those details.  Shitty Walmart brushed, battered by the paper cup as I swished and jammed their tender britles to the bottom to remove the excess paint.  The humanity!  It was inelven!

Phil

Omg! no details
mine was not THAT bad, maybe somewhere between yours and Soth's i think

Which is what people often say about fat ugly women in an effort to be 'nice'

They have charm and personality.
And they don't have monkey faces, and the details are realistic(as in ammo pouches and elaborate clothing instead of carcasses, hourglasses and bare feet).
I agree with the inhumane treatment of animals.

Bah! Everyone knows the righteous of Sigmar fire skulls from their handguns, store their powder in hourglasses, and, uh... ate their shoes last week lest they become... uh... tained by the foul chaos... uh... heretic... oh hell, I don't even know anymore.

I like many of the pre-6th figs, but the scale difference can sometimes be quite substantial.

Can't stand 7th ed. Soldiers, but then some pre-6th stuff can be still worse.

But do they have skulls and purity scrolls? I don't think so! :icon_wink:

The War Wagon crew are amongst my favourite models. I have the blunderbusser and he's perfect.

I still don't understand the attraction of those pre-6th edition models.  They are rather hideous to IMO.

So are you, but we love you anyway.  :icon_razz:

I think he looks cute, much like you look kinky. You are both in my top ten to do...

I have collected a whole lot of 5th ed. metal minis, and with the new GW saw, made sure that all my new units have different heads. Looks cool, and a solid paintjob will remove all doubts that there are metal heads on plastic miniatures. Of course some of the heads looks like baloons so I had to discard them.

And yes, those old flaggies also gives me the creeps.

I also also dislike the weird old flagellants.

Yeah, the old knights and the old flagellants are the only 5th ed empire miniatures I don't like.

Luckily for me, he would need a layover in England in order to get to me :D

Those 5th edition models still mostly suck.

What do we have to do to make the top 10? Does quantity of beard help?

I think we have established that a red butt helps.

Shouldn't be a problem after you had nailed yours to the floorboards :icon_wink:

They have to bring Siberius all of his carpentry things in the morning, when he hammers things and such.  Puts a real cramp on his labors, but his wife still loves him.  He could have nailed something else to the floor...

No but a red ass might though you need to fiddle my stuff in the same way that the other two did.

Getting back on topic, the two painter examples given above are good but not pro. Layer technique is cool as shown but there are other ways that portrait a super painted miniature. Then again pro is almost as subjective as art unless money is involved.

Much better than my first! I'll see if I can find a Heroquest orc painted in enamels and take a picture...  :icon_eek:

Enamels - now that's the way forward...!!!!
(or would be if all the spoggy shops that sold the stuff within a 15 mile radius of me hadn't shut down the bastards)
Without so much as a damn your eyes for the inconvenience

But enamels go on so smoothly and blend so well!

Yeah, enamels are literally like painting with nail polish.

if somebody bought that for a thousand, I bet we will see it back on Ebay broken up into bits, if I had the spare cash that is what I would have done, I think that parts of it would draw that much, but not the whole thing at one time for one person.  steveb
