Define campaign
Something to encourage the participants to play Warhammer again at the Eurobash?
Going from something on hex maps to something like a friendly tournament?

Nah. Eurobash can never be a competition. That's the whole concept. But play a couple games of 6th ? Sure !
No competition is fine for me :-) I would be a little better if their was at least one game of Warhammer at the Eurobash  :-)

There will be. I have comitted to playing at least one game of 6th.

I should really practice at some point. Perhaps against a fellow Belgian ?

Sure its a competition.
Of all the games I played, I won them all. Therefore I won the competition!

Sure I only played 1 game.... But not the point!

The first year I went to the Eurobash I was also undefeated. I made up for it by losing most of my games since.

Please read the Original Post as we are offering a third date option, and people need to confirm their preferred choices for dates and their definite  attendance.

We want to maximise attendance.

Decisions need to be taken.
Hotel bookings need to be made.

August is also possible for us, but less ideal.

The May the 30th date is not possible for me!
I’ll be stuck up in the far north of the Netherlands... far north... well, there should be at keast a capital letter there somewhere.

Anyhoo... Easter I’ll be able to manage one or two days... I’m 80% sure of that.
August... if it’s August I can plan it and make sure I’m there.

And here’s the crux of it all: I really want to see you guys. Especially the English, damn, do I ever want to laugh at them.
No, seriously, I move for August... good weather, good food and I really donwant to meet you all again.

And yes, call me Belgian if you want. Preferably the French speaking part. Damn, they’re sexy!

Yes coming, still prefer the may 30th option.. Easter weekend is less ideal as I have to get stuff arranged for the kids as the missus can't get off work those days.

August is almost a no go for me, at the end of our school holiday, as we are really stuck on when the missus can get her 2 weeks vacation planned and as it now stands it will be the weekend in the middle of those 2 weeks, so that will mean that we are away for the holidays (and no Belgium specifically Antwerp region is not an option for our holiday :icon_lol: )

If you are far north in the Netherlands on May 30th then I see no reason you can't come!  :closed-eyes: As that will be very close to where I live so you can take a seat in my car. See it as a sort of Rescue abduction.

To make things clear, I really want to see all of you present.

I intend to come this year.

April is really bad for me but I'll give it a go.  May 30th.. a day after me birthday would be interesting.  All of you could give me a birthday punch.

Summertime is better for me, let me know.

Well if you do come over one day after your Bday let me know if you want something interesting from the Dutch contingent and I'll bring it over as a present (within reason of course) with a beer to toast on your bday!  :::cheers:::

Complication Gents the may date coincides with the Special Olympics here in St Niklaas.
There probably won't be a hotel room left in the city.

Not funny at all.
It also means that roads will be blocked, and that generally speaking having the bash at that time would be a bad idea.

I'm sorry for the short notice, but I'm glad I caught it at this point in time.

This is not a small event I'm talking about :

August is not so good either - we get a 2/3 extra regulars and lose probably 4/5
I am biased against Easter for the April choice, as it  is likely to be a hotel problem as well, and I doubt I will make it

It appears we are struggling to find a suitable date.

the 3rd or 4th week of May has been good for most of us for a number of years now, so with that being difficult this year maybe we have to rethink the whole thing.

So what about a regular weekend in June then? Would cost most of us an extra day off from work as there are no bankdays.. But I have no problem with that.
