Yes that is correct Tyrion spoiled a great battle moment (well I guess it was still great for the SPE's)
Today in the 2k HE battle I tried my best to kill Tyrion.
Cannonball shot - ward saved.
Cannonball shot - ward saved.
Hellblaster did 26 shots into him (WOW :-D)
I actually rolled 20 hits (WOW x2 )
All those hits wounded (WOW WOW WOW I'm on fire ::heretic:: )
Between the Armor, Ward, and Regeneration Saves Tyrion took 0 out of 20 wounds :eusa_wall:
I did feel happy cause in the next game, Tyrion was flanked charge by Krox and autobroke through a unit of saurus warriors. :closed-eyes:
-
He's the toughest elf the HE have, but even that's redonkulos. Fled through the saurus eh? Well, Teclis is the one with the brains.

This is just not a good time to be a Great Cannon it seems. My own Great Cannon landed every single shot onto my opponent's Ancient Stegadon today (new Lizardmen rules), and he made his 5+ ward save for 3 turns, and on the fourth shot I inflicted 1 wound. Curses! (Nevermind the fact that the next shot did 5, of course...)
But the poor Hellblaster... Tyrion should've died from lead poisoning at that point considering the amount of lead in him.
-
Well the number of points that guy costs you can at least be sure of outnumbering him, I mean he cant kill them all... or at least it will take him some time...

Tyrion is rediculous! and he's not much more than kurt helborg or a mounted Karl Franz.
Tyrion is one of the best characters to run by himself , he does not need a unit to make a big difference in the game.
He is also a tank with a 1+ armor save a 4+ ward save and a 4+ regen save, His only drawback is that he is not that killy with only 4 stregnth 7 atacks.

last time I played him I challenged him with the VHS/WAltar build (shield of gorgon, sword of Sigismund, VHS and WAltar) tarpitted him 4 turns before my horses got lucky and got to his final wound. If he has smart he would have attacked the chariot and put his strength 7 to good use. :icon_wink: as it was, his 1 attack really couldn't beat my ward save/WS 9 (hitting on 5+ :biggriin:) and my 4 (or 5?) attacks couldn't get through that 0+ AS, 4+ ward and regen. Soulfire and cleansing flare helped. ::heretic:: Hooray for not being burning attacks! ::heretic::

his 1 attack
Don't you mean 2?

Shield of the Gorgon.

Gotta love that speculum... :biggriin:

He only has a 1+ armor save as malhandir counts as a monstrous mount so doesn't give him +1 for being mounted

Thought they got rid of the monsterous rule for malhandir this edition. too bad im stuck at work and cant see my rule book
-
Malhandir is not monstrous, he has 1 Wound.
-
Malhandir is not monstrous, he has 1 Wound.
thought so, he was last edition but I can destinctly remeber looking at the new rules and trying to find where he was monsterous this edition but couldnt find it, meaning they removed that rule for him.
-
You are correct sir!
Malhandir does only have one wound now so is no longer a monstrous mount (though his base size would sugest that he still is) all it says it that his barding doesn't give Tyrion a better save... sorry I was wrong and even more sorry for myself that I have been using him wrong.
-
God you had bad luck, but hey, it happens.
As to Teclis having the brains, he's still scared shitless by a KoS, as I proved when a rather arrogant HE player at our store found out when I made him take a terror test at Ld 2 with my demon army. I don't usually bring it out, but you've gotta put those darn HE in place sometimes!

Actually the HE FAQ clarifies this. The barding doesn't count, but Tyrion indeed mounted so he has a 0+ save.
