So than I could better run an extraunit of demigryph knights of 4 with musician for thereiksguard knights. 1+ AS and hits on S6 on the charge and afterthat on S5 because of thelatest FAQ. Besides that my seond pistoliers unit of 5 will fit in.

Is a war altar still a good option to put the archlector in? The wizard a good option to put him in a hurricanum (with lore of heavens)? Or are they better used with a high armour save in on a steed in the inner circle knights?

I never ever played against someone who used the lore of metal. I mostly play tournaments with allroundslist. So I dare to count on that.

Is it a good basic build for a cav army?

Hey everybody,

I hav no experience with empire, but i am considering empire as my new army. I would like to make it a big cavalry list as following. I wonder if you have any critics or good tips.

Arch lector (gen), on barded warhorse (not sure what to give him as magical items)
Lv 4 wizard, barded warhorse lore of shadow (not sure what to givehm as magical items)

Captain, bsb on barded warhorse (not sure what to give him as magical items)
Captain on pegasus, the warmachine hunting one.

6 knights, mus. GW
6 knights, mus. GW
12 inner circle knights, GW mus.+ bnr flaming banner

10 reiks guard knights, GW full command (arch lector and wizard here).
4 demigryph knights, mus
5 pistoliers
2 cannon

1 Hurricanum

I think this list can perform good in tournqments, fast because of all the horses, hard to hit with most of the knights have 2+ AS, hard hitting because of the GW. I would like to give the archlector the war alter, but than I cannot put in a lv 4 wizard what is really needed here. I also would like to bring an extra unit of pistoliers to do some annoying shootingont the flanks or hunt warmachines, I could swap the captain with pegasus for such a u it. But i don't know what is better to use.

I am not sure if the horse units can make it against hordes, but I like the idea to have something different than all the 8th edition hordes and standard netlists like Ogres, Skaven and Chaos Warriors. What are your thoughts and experiences. Is it vital to run a list like this, or the stupiest idea ever to run Empire like this?

I recently bought the new empire book and saw some major nerfed changes to the last pretty good book. After my dwarfs and Tomb Kings i would like to build on my next army. I like High Elves, but they really only can make one build tho play them also competative. Wood elves are too weak right now and also one viable build is possible. Ogres, very nice but too hard, everybody seems to build the standard netlist with them here.

But I was wondering is it still possible to make nice different list @2400 points with EmpireSay one infantry and one cavalry based armybuild. I always likes the empire and all the different army options. In 7th it could be a nice and hard army to compete with.

What are nice combo's nowadays with the new book? Must haves or useless units and a small motivation.

Hope to hear from you, it should convince me starting Empire!

Cheers Kris
