I had another post up asking how to beat ogres in 2500 pts.

I was having a hard time doing anything playing ogres. I was 0-4 playing them until last weekend.

The Demi chicks were great I had a unit of 4 that took out 6 regular ogres.

But the main key for victory was having 2 unit of 30 great swords, with a priest in each unit. They crushed everything, took out a whole unit of leadbelchers, and one other things.

I had very little magic, first turn my wizard was in a unit of 40 swordsmen and they ran off the table.

Just thought I'd share that.

heres some of it, Ill get pics of the demi chicks ( they are different ) and core ASAP.

some of its still not done. the luminark is 95%

I played this week end and finally beat the ogres! 2 units of 30 great swords killed everything there way!.

not done yet, just got it today. but its looking good. Im on vacation from work, my goal is finish all the new models I bought today. Ill post some pix of my army at the end of the week. hopefully.

Still somewhat new to this game. But I've been railded by ogres 3 times..playing them again tomorrow. Just made a quick list up..what do u think? Any changes?

Ive been crushed 2 times now playing ogres.

whats the best list for ogres? 2500 pts.

my list was..

Level 4 wizard, lore of life with a captian BSB in a unit of 50 swordsmen. also had a unit of 50 halbers, both units had 2 detachments of 10 ten hand gunners.

2 units of 30 greatswords with tha priest in each( these are the only units that did anything)

2 cannons

helblaster and helstorm.

had a unit of 10 knights, with a templar grand master.

and other minor stuff. 

both times I played ogres I get one flank taken out and its a just over at that point,

what should I do different?

Hey guys,

New here.forgive the spelling. Just have a few questions, and need some advice. I've been out of warhammer for 15 years. Last times I played I think I was 16. my bro was always into it so I started building a empire army.

Here's a list of stuff I have. Let me know what else u think I need.

Trying to build a solid 2500pts, thatll be playing choas and tomb kings alot.

Core...

10 knights
20 halberds
40 swordsmen
10 handgunners
10 crossbows

Special
Mortar x2
Cannon x2
30 great swords.

Like I said it's been awhile, and theres the new book coming.. What should I add? I'm kinda freaking the new book is going to change everything. And wished I would have waited to see b4 dumped all this money now. Idk, let me know
