The Parade Ground / 3000 points of Gunline Need some help

I'm still making an army and I am leaning toward making a gun line. My current competition is Lizardmen, Skaven, Orcs and Goblins and Elves(all of them). My thoughts are to use the wizards to enhance my shooting as much as possible, while hexing my opponents units to make wounding stick. I like the combo of using metal and fire so far don't know if these are the best choices. The Knights are mainly there for warmachine hunting and for flank charges when they can. Cannons are there for monster hunting and also the engineer is there for the HBVG. Let me know what you guys think and let me know about possible changes.

Talabheim (2496pts) Hey all first off love the community here on the website seems really active and enjoyable. Now on with the list. I wanted a list that represents an army from Talabheim love the idea of a city in the center of a crater I have the codex and starting readying and comparing my list to some of the lists on the parade ground and this is what I have come up with. I havent bought anything so any suggestions are welcome. I have played a few games with my buddies empire and he runs more of a gun line. I was looking to use my army mainly as a cc army with support magic and suppot shooting. My thoughts are running the Arch Lector with the knight providing them hate to make them that much harder without making it a death star unit. Ill be putting the General with the John the Hammer and Bruce with the Halberds, providing my reroll leadership 9 bubble plus hate to them. Great swords will have Wilhelm to give the greatswords hate as well as they are also my anti regen MC problem. Going to run the halbs in a horde and the greatswords 6x5 and when they get into combat prolly reform into a horde. The wizard is going to do his thing while being in his swordsmen bunker buffing units and heros as he can. Love the beast lore prolly my favorite and the amber spear is awesome. archers are missdirect unit plus they move and shoot. Cross bows are the only thing in the list Im really unsure about as I havent used them before. Handgunners intrigue me but I always feel their range is always lacking. Cannons are support anti troop and  MC. Organ Gun Im not sure if I want this or a Celestial Hurricanum or a Luminark of Hysh. Really like both but I feel they take away to much dice from the priests and wizard. Any suggestions here? My thought is to use the halbs as a anvil letting the archers get run over and using the halbs to get buffed and then counter charge. Greats swords and knights are there for flank and rear charges when they present them selves. swordsmen are a bunker for my wizard and also they can hold the tower mission. Thats about it tell me what you think I look foward to hearing from you all.
