The Town Square / We have moved!
« on: July 25, 2017, 07:22:10 PM »
Just a short note to say we have left our old host and moved to a new one and so far it's looking a lot faster!

Hello There!

The project likes to learn from ages past and one lesson T9A team has learnt is to engage the community more. The team had such a tremendous success with ideas for the magic phases and new magic items for Warriors of the dark gods that the Rules Team (RT) has melded together some great global surveys that they want you, the community to help answer in order to get an understanding of what the community really wants.

Now it's worth saying right here that the surveys are not binding to the future of the game, but give instead the T9A team a incredible insight into the path they need to take.

Up first is a survey on what to do with magic items with some very simple questions and statements for you all to answer, so please, take the jump and answer away, and when you finish, spread the word, we need to actively engage as much of the community as we can.

So what you waiting for, go go go!

Start the survey by going here: http://www.the-ninth-age.com/index.php?t9-a-survey/

You will be glad to here that 99.99% of all login and logout problems are now solved. This means that lost passwords and activation emails now work!

However, there is one thing I haven't solved yet, logging out. If you press logout, it keeps you logged in. If you really really really want to log out, please close your browser and delete all cookies in your temp folder.

I hope to have a solution soon to this

The Town Square / Spell Checker installed
« on: July 19, 2005, 11:14:56 AM »
Hello All,

After a few comments, we have decided to install a spell checker here at warhammer-empire.com

Now its very easy to use, type YOUR normal message into the box as usual and then press the "spell check" button beneath it.

Now a few pointers:

1) it doesn't work with the quick reply, doh!
2) It doesn't have any of the warhammer words in it
3) Please don't press "learn"

Now, start using it  :P

The Altdorf Press / New and Improved: The Workshop
« on: May 25, 2005, 10:38:43 AM »
With great fanfare, the staff at W-E bring you long awaited upgrade to the workshop.

Go here: http://www.warhammer-empire.com/workshop.htm

This I must say is the hard work of two great staff members, bigrin42 and Imperial Forge and I would like to hear a round of applause for them.

Now after all that clapping, get over there and start reading!

Hello All,

Well this update has been over a year in coming. It’s taken me this long due to house moves of 300 miles, getting engaged, and then not having an internet connection, buying a new house, you know, run of the mill usual every day things!

Well what have I done? Well there is a "Library" section. All the articles are now there, and more can be added at any time, by you! We have a new mines "Links" section, again new links can be added any time, by you!

Another new feature is the "Gallery". Long suffering painters have no need to fear any more, they can now upload pictures of there paintings to their hearts content.

Not forgetting the "The Forge". The place to go if you want to find the latest Dwarf downloads and Q&A

One last thing, go and look at www.bugmansbrewery.com (you will be very happy :-) )

New Staff
I am bringing on board Queek. Starting off on WPS as the know it all for rules, Queek has now defined himself as the person to ask about rules. He will be running the new Q&A section

I am also bringing onboard SOF, or also know as Orion Houle. Desinger of the DOW update, i always promised him a home at the forum, and now he has one.

Words of thanks
A word of thanks must go to the following people:
  • My long suffering Fiancee: She has put up with me doing constant hours on the computer and at times, getting rather mad with it. There is no one i would rather be with then her
  • Forum users - well it you guys who drive this site, without it, no one would hear about the brewery, visit it or ever use it.
  • Forum Administrators Jan Petroc and Sander Tjissen, both stouty dwarfs and my thanks for looking after the brewery
  • Forum Brewery Staff, u know who you are and what you have done, many thanks
  • A final thanks goes to grutch, aka Johnny P. Van Zelm. He has designed all these graphics, including the ones seen over on the portal as well; the brewery has never looked so good!
  • [/list:u]

I must go now, I have a lawn to mow, goblins to kill and some chaos has appeared on the horizon!

May your tankard never be empty!

The Town Square / phpBB 2.0.11
« on: December 22, 2004, 11:27:17 AM »

Just to mention in regards to recent posts and emails, the forum does indeed run phpBB 2.0.11, the webhoster runs the latest version of php 4 and there are other measures inplace.

Thus, we are not affected by the current worms, viruses or code problems that are affecting users who run php 4 (that means ANYBODY!, not just phpBB users!)

Your viewing and pleasure of this site is unaffected :-)
